Go Vandross!!! I think he stood out for his talent, and his fair play to not go down for a free kick when every hack was kicking lumps out of him (whilst he still managed to nutmeg them).kolobaras wrote:By far the standout in Sat Div2Veggos wrote:Let's hope Bob Marley does win it. He deserves an award like that. I have never seen anyone take the piss out of their opponents more than Sir Bob. Peace out Bro! A true magician of Sat Div 2!

Would back it 3 in a row if you count the div 4 player of the year too.

To be honest though, I couldn't pick a B&F in our team. Whilst everyone had their days on the whole I think our team played well as a team and no doubt would have had players taking votes off each other.
I know I am a cheeky little devil but has anyone seen Mike Hunt in the car park?

Re: SAASL B&F Awards
Karapetis was in career best form this year and Scalzi will pole consistantly as usual. Main dilemma will be if they, or other players who also had big seasons take points off of each other. A huge amount of even contributions for the season at Adelaide Villa. Good luck to all, but deserving if a Villa Boy picks up the honour.....................Remember be nice to referees!! or no votes will follow.

Re: SAASL B&F Awards
Sezenias Brothers easily can play at a much higher level. It would be a surprise if Johnny doesn't take it out again.
Re: SAASL B&F Awards
Tall sandy blonde haired defensive midfielder for un, only young too, 20 years old, awesome effort getting in the top 6 even tho he only played half the season in the a's. He also took out our club best and fairest.Monkey Boy wrote:Top 6 Saturday Premier

Well done to the SPOC lads!!! great work to have 2 in the top 6. I think that both have a real chance as even though Ollie didnt have a fantastic year, winning it last year certainly helps catch the eye. And with Steve, he played very well, in the toughest defence in the league.
Who the hell is Robert Lane???
Can't believe there is no Dom Musci either? I think that Tony will be tough to beat.....

WTF????? No cbf gk!! What were the ref's watching.... All season long too. Going by the match reports (from himself), he managed to keep Athelstone in every game.
Think this might be Nick or Barrys medal IMO.

yeah they did, its just best player now, I know someone who won it a few years back, but was ineligible due to suspension by yellows, pacman wrote:I thought I heard they changed that law a couple of years back :? :? Anyone confirm thisBomber wrote:Hawkesy ineligible due to red card.
I know more recently past winners have been suspended and still have won the award

On the other hand if there is only one stand out player in a team that is poor it may be easier to get points regularly.Giovinco_The_Great wrote:Not bad for a relagated team

Re: SAASL B&F Awards
I play my best football when I'm pissed anway. One year when winning the top scorer I worked out that I didn't score a goal all season when being sober the night before.East 17 wrote:He is taking the piss. By all accounts Hawkesy is a far better drinker than footballer.

Re: SAASL B&F Awards
Good to see an even spread in the top 6 for Saturday Division 2... good luck to Melo Graziano - great bloke, brilliant footballer and deserving of this due to his versatility - pllayed half a year at sweeper and the second half of the season in the middle of the park...
Just a bit suprised Adam Perre didn't get in the top 6.... One of the league's leading scorers, another massive talent and on top of his goals set up an absolute bucketload for others to score... maybe he's too aggressive towards referees haha..

The Rodent would like to think he gave it a nudge in his last year of C's but would have been
outclassed by the young lads this year !!
