I wont do my usual write up as I just didn't see enough of either the reserves of the first team to comment.

Just wanted to say thanks to the Fulham guys and their coach Lawrie for hanging around for a drink after the match. Always appreciate it.

King Henrick will probably put something on here.

Or poor defending/discipline.
Was poor defending failed to clear the ball from a scrappy corner vista won back possession and then the player did well to beat ab out 3 players in and around the box get to the bye line and ut the ball back. Hard work contributed to the goal!

lucky is one way of hiding the fact that is was bad defending, especially so close to the final whistle, west beach scored against us with 5 mins to go, poor defending and a classy finish, no luck about that
You go on the p*ss all day, you've ballooned out like the Pillsbury Doughboy!
You could go to jail for this! What sort of system am I going to play then? Three across the middle and one in bloody Pentonville? *Mike Basset*

Knights vs East

I cant hide my disappointment at not getting the result yesterday. Full credit must go to the knights as they took every single chance they had. Saying that i didn't think we defended very well all day.
The one time we played the ball around in the first half we scored from it. It was all nice touches and finished off well. If we played our passing game, which was our game plan, i'm sure we would have come away with the points. We certainly had our chances in the second half and maybe should have got another one that hit the bar.
Sandy is a very handy pick up for them and will do well in div2.

What a funny old league though. Points getting taken off everyone, upsets every week! It makes it interesting, but surely someone is going to start stringing some results together. Just hope its us!!

From what I was told, Hullsy should of been sent off but wasn't. Still Gardens scored the penalty and then conceeded basically from the kick off in the 94 min.

100% he shouldv'e been sent off & if he was that wouldv'e taken a couple of extra minutues plus our free kick 35 out after the penalty wouldv'e been alot different.
At the end of the day it was a great game, as I said before all that's asked is consistancy & fairness by the referee's & that certainly wasn't the case yesterday...

Well done to Florina they are certainly a very good team & so far without a loss deserved to be top at this stage.

Long way to go...................

1st Post , 2nd Post, 100th Post, what difference does it make. In my books, getting a cheeky tap in goal in the last minute of the game is pretty lucky. Hence why Modbury celebrated the draw. As for the Away Ground Stigma, we have the supporters to make any game a Home game. I Look forward to the rematch with the addition of another Simpson boy.[/quote]

10 minutes! lucky you, it took about 30 for my yiros :D yes it was a good day at the farm yesterday. we got up 3-1 in the b's in a game where the farm was pretty much in control for about 75 minutes. having young wadey and evan come down from the a's was a handy addition for the first half. went in 1 up through a well taken jarred rich goal. the outlaw pushed everyone out the way and took the penalty to make it 2 and then which can only be described as an act of complete selflessness  made sure rich's shot went over the line. understandably he wasn't sure whether the wind would change at that exact moment so well done on the brace. fulham came back got one but couldnt capitalise on anymore.
the a's was a frustrating game to watch. we struck first through mr x who was in the right place at the right time for a tap in :) fulham equalized before the break with a well taken header. the second half saw the farm with most possession but to be honest we never looked like scoring. then came along the skipper chrissy ennis. two corners, two headers, two goals. definately keeping the farm in the title race imo. young gannon showed some signs of brilliance in the second half while toasty rutter ran his bollocks off trying to make things happen up front. another stella peformance from farm goalie aswell. some very crucial saves. fulham were menacing but i feel 3-1 was a just and desrved score for the day.
well done to the c team and dads army aswell and cheers to fulham for a good day.

I just happened to be in the box when it was given, and remember you where the one that pointed at me to take it...... and the tap in was strikers instinct as i had no idea if anyone was behind me or not but all credit must go to Jarrad Rich who should have had two and my deepest apoligies for missing my chance at a first Ingle Farm hat-trick for the year

Well who would have thought - Nugget humble in defeat, or should i say draw. and nugget, i think you said well done to Florina, who without a loss deserve to be top, we have lost one to Westies mate.
No, by far wasn't one of the better players. Bad day at the office for me and many of my team mates.
We definetly used our get out of Jail Free card cause Gardens played better and i would say had most of possession too. Should of won the game and i did say to some of the Gardens boys that they deserved to win after the game.
I also predicted a draw. Just had that feeling but when Gardens got the penalty, i thought we had killed ourselves because i knew it was injury time. to come back and score from being down three times showed we had charachter. Something lacking in previous years. Sometimes u just need luck to go your way and this time around we got it. couple years back same thing happenned when we equalised for 2-2 then gardens got the winner at the death. This was no different but we equalised. Gardens played extremely well and wanted the win more than we did. As for the send off, hullsy should have been sent off but as Safe Hands said he's seen worse and only get yellows for it. I don't think the ref playing bad could have altered the score but we are never going to find out. In all we got a point, and are VERY happy with it.
As for wheels falling off puditre, don't think so this year mate. But you never know, LONG way to go, as Nugget says. Still 5 teams fighting it out for premiership, would not discount Vale either.
Next the downs, and a must win for our boys to give us some breathing space.

Poor display from the Inter first team today, unfortunately couldnt back up the 4pts they picked up from 2 away games before this one.
Looks like Pontian have found some form of late. Am happy for a good mate playing there now. Go Georgie Pana! :D

suprise suprise Stav gets injured in yet another game. Come on Stav time to have a well deserved rest and who brought him the fags and beer..Stav you have left the Downs to jump on to the bandwagon and wont the boys be giving you curry in a fortnight. Stav I have come on here to inforn you, you will never be in another Downs show. You would have to be the worst Robbie Williams wanna be ever. All in all should be a cracking game next fortnight with a few old Downs players in for a right Downs bagging. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Bad day for westies at the Downs. Had most of the play but couldn't score like the week before. Looked like bad injuries to both sides, anyone heard how they are. looked like a knee and a broken ankle. Boo's to the rascist buffoons behind the goal who heckled westies dark player all day with Eddie Booth style comments, this is australia boys ,no room for that shit here. What about buying a bbq next season, some people like more than pies.

Hey champ. Was a great day for the Downs that day. But to say you had most of the play is a little rough. Though it was pretty even both ways. I didnt hear any racist remarks from behind the goals, but am surprised if it was the case. We have a black player at our club Mba from nigeria I think and hes been there a while.
As for the BBQ comment champ. If you wanna come down to set up and cook one be my guest. As with most clubs the few people who put their hands up to do stuff do it all. the more hand the merrier. We do have a decent BBQ mate, but the effort involed with the people avalible was just not producing the benefits we wanted for it. And in saying that we actually sold more pies and pasties than what we were sausages since we been selling them. We do the best we can with the people, time a facilities we have, as most clubs do, but perhaps unlike most clubs, our main source of revenue is our bar, not our BBQ.

Not easy to get people on the BBQ at anytime.. Everyone down the soccer club is there for just that - to watch the soccer.

Dont get upset ,i really enjoyed the pies. Lovely women selling them. Was just an observation seeing as their seemed to be a lot of people walking in with macca's and the like. But how is the lad that went off in the ambulance,I know the lad that he tackled ended up with a damaged knee that he did all by himself later in the game, looks like it was bad.

They'd have to be real sly about it given the amount of Nigerians, Afghanis etc that are at the club :clown: and don't want to go anywhere else because they've been made so welcome.

The young lad looks to be ok with just a bad sprain. The week off will prob be good for him and hopefully will be back soon.

What kind of Knee injury did your lad get. Hope its not an ACL. Had 2 of them and they not good.

Speaking of which, how is Rossy Taylor going. Heard he did his again. Pleae pass on my regards. We both did ours in the same season and I did mine again when I can back. Not a good thing to go through.

Good luck to both players!

I was the club official behind the goal and there was comments made by the player in question to the crowd and this started to backfire on him as he was overwhelmed with taunts and jeers. As far I was concerned if you stir the crowd you get what you get. There was only one comment made that was uncalled for and that was quickly dealt with. As far as PHW controlling the game, your in dreamland. If anything you had a five min period at about the 80 min mark but were frustrated by the Downs defence. I had a feeling we would win the game after only five mins when PHW were argueing amongst themselves and the coach. Pies,Pasties and Sausage Rolls are selling as quick as we can heat them and with very few negative comments about a winter BBQ. Next home game we will have a soup as well.
