sterling vs gleeson
villa vs marion
Hmm nice of them to change what was said previously. Jets v Saints match of the round then.

Na my money goes on Villa. To skilled, experienced and classy for the other outfits this year. Wanderers will be strong also. There are no hot heads at villa, Tassone, Cerrachio, Scalzi-Scalzi are all cool cats. 8)

There seem to be a lot of grown men here wetting themselves talking about Villa.

Are they actually any good, or are you lot just getting off by name-dropping??

I just think (for what its worth) that finally the Saturday league should be gaining some respect with 4-5 clubs in with a serious chance for the title. i obviously think that Saints are a chance along with Wanderers (obviously being reigning champions...oh that hurst to say that!!!), Villa (experience plus and quality to boot), and Sturt Marion (beat us last year, solid unit). Others in the mixer and could determine the champion with thier results are - Jets (solid all round team that will fight every game), Sterling (always hard to beat at home and possibly have picked up some Sturt players back??), BOSA (Surely cant have two poor seasons running?). Who does this leave? Uni to finish their standard mid table with their early season recruits to go home after the half way mark.... Gleeson (has top be someone) and Allstars (no chance against this quality opposition) for the drop....

I also think that Tassovac, Oliver, Hayes or one of the Villa old boys to win the player of the year....

I look forward to a cracker of a year!!! Good luck to you all... not really!!!

Think you have summed that up well..Wanderers and saints are definatly the ones to beat. Both have quality all over the park.Think you will find sturt wont be far behind them either.Stirling and africa to go down..I think stirling will struggle. They havent got any of the sturt lads back and have heard they have lost a few from last year..Should be a great comp tho

Interesting to know. You can never take Stirling lightly though. Even just the expedition up the freeway is enough to win them points....

Take it easy buddy!!!!!!

I think there are too many people from other clubs trying to talk up Villa's chances and no one from Villa, lets get that straight!!!. We know how hard this year will be and are expecting a cup final scenario every week. We hold every team in the competition with high regard.

There are a few extra years in a some legs since we last played at the top level we know that for sure but hope a few young recruits blended with experience should see us be competitive in the coming season.
