one of the worst games I have watched in a long time. Beach scored 4 in the first 25 minutes. the East came back. East Boy with 2 penalties. But both teams were very poor and pretty much deserved to be relegated. I cannot believe beach may survive??? They have guys who cant even kick the ball properly.
Waste of 90 minutes apart from watching some comical play.....
It wasn't the prettiest game to watch...but it is a relegation battle and they are never pretty!

TTG will be awarded the points for this game.

Great win to Croatia.
Dominated a lean looking TTG.
I dont mean fit (a few big units in there),
I mean lean as in undermanned.
Choo Choo.
Clawing up the ladder.

That'd be shtupid.

We were terrible yesterday for sure and from the sidelines it was probably one of the worst games to watch. Twice this year we had 20 minute patches against beach where we couldnt put two passes together and to their credit they capitalised both times. It has been a pretty tough year for all concerned but to be honest I think we've done ok with the squad we have. You take 8-9 starting first team players out of any squad and they're probably gonna struggle. Before anyone screams "excuses, excuses".....its a simple fact. We have mixed it with most teams second half of the year but we're not quite good enough and our results obviously show that. We knew from the start it was going to be tough, and credit to the boys that HAVE stuck around and battled out the year.Monkey Boy wrote:PHE 3 - 4 Beach

Cheers to the boys from the beach who did hang around after the game. But I'd be telling whoever it was chanting "Enjoy division 2" after your song, not to count your chickens before they hatch!!

Since Croatia winning run started, we've been accused of
1.Death threats and mentally scarring a 7 year old girl (Raptors)
2.Infinite two-footed tackles and referees in our pocket (Pumas)
3.Playing super-league players (TTG)
4.Even Campbelltown? players as ring-ins. (Modbury)
Inter and Fulham took it on the chin, good on yas.
Southern Knights, get your excuse ready.

Your post makes you look more second rate than Jonesy well taken goal.redsfan08 wrote:ROBBO wrote:A's: Ingle Farm 2 Para Hills West 2

As Bodo mentioned... it was a bit of an emotional day at Walkley Park today.
Sensational comeback from 9-manned Farm having been 2-1 down. Westies looked ordinary in the second half as it seemed the 9 men were more likely to score. Rutter could have had a penalty with 10 mins to go for Farm, but that was evened out by an equally good shout for west in the dying minutes.
Felt like a win today for the boys - the PHW Coach's comments from Round 8 spurred Farm on all day (apparently he apologized to Simo after the match for his insipid behaviour from last match) but redemption was gained for Farm when even with 9 men the lads levelled the score. Magic finish Jonesy.
Brilliant day for all at the Farm as the home support drove the boys on, well done everyone involved
Robbo
Have to agree with you in some respects, The fight in the guys left on the pitch was definitely to be commended. We were disappointed with the way it finished and should have played a lot smarter. Second goal was really well taken by Jonesy ( Thanks for making me look second rate ) I think if all your players had played the ball all day instead of the man the result may have been different. Thanks also to the friends and families of Westies for making a lot of noise and supporting us brilliantly all day. Thanks also to the Farm supporters and coaches for teaching me some phrases and swear words I didn't even know.
Lots of supporting by both teams on the day and at the end, most of us, players and supporters went and shaked hands. I heard a few interesting things said when one of your former players was sent off. As for playing the man not the ball, it was both ways and after the rough treatment we copped the first time we played you, I'm surprised you would complain. We get accused of been soft, now were to hard Funniest part of the day was Chook Ennis getting stuck into Eric, he didn't know what to do. Eric is a great player but was a bit like a rabbit in the headlights on Sunday. The real hero was one of your supporters who ran his mouth all day at one of your former players then we he finally bit back, got upset and felt disrepected. One word for it, !!! Respect though to the Westies boys who backed up their former team mate and still friend. Must commended their coach for his apology to Simo about his actions after the last game. A few of our boys got stuck into him but at I think now we can all move on.
Was always going to be a passion filled game. Going down to 9 men and scoring to level the game showed a lot of bottle, heart or what ever else The Who thinks we are missing. Three times this year we have been down to 10 men and 3 times we have won the match. It felt as good as a win but reality was, it was a draw and now mathamatically our chances of winning the league are gone. That was the most disappointing part of the day.
Still unsure why Westies stuck to a 4-4-2 when we went down to 9 men. We threw Chris Ennis upfront and at times he had 4 people marking him. They could of thrown one forward and really stuffed up our defence. Maybe they felt been 2-1 up, they could just defend and they would wrap up the game
Cheers to the Westies boys who stayed back for a drink. A lot of good blokes down there and good luck to them for trying to win the league. Unbelieveable that you guys are still undefeated in what is a very tough league.
Was nice to meet the famous Bodo to. Sorry I didn't get to speak to you more but BBQ duties and the chance to watch the last 30 mins from the touch line was to much to pass up. Farmer Joe was the hunk of a human being who was on the bench for us. A blonde version of Zoolander

No complaints about tackles mate just surprised that a team that has one of the best footballing squads in the league would resort to those tactics instead of pushing the ball around. Also theres nothing hard about kicking someone from behind just lazy and stupid!!
The two send offs were always coming and more cards were probably needed for both teams. Clarkey is a superb player and any further taunts more than a light hearted goodbye were harsh.
Playing Farm at home is always going to be tough so to come away with a point and remain in the hunt was the important part for us. Thanks to that result we've already equalled the best ever result in the clubs history and we'll be busting our guts to push for the title.

and the Vista boys accusing other teams of SL players?!?! They had one in their team, albeit registered and above board, because he "chooses" to play amatuers
p.s. not having a dig at Vista, great bunch of blokes and i personally hope they stay up, but the arrogance for a team on the bottom, is a bit rich.

Yeah, it was 2-2.
But it was a moral victory.
I shouldn't have mentioned it though.
It was a big deal at the time, but its passed.
We now look at as 2 points flushed in the toilet
rather than a point gained.

i think Croatia have some of the best ball players in the league. After playing against them the 2nd time, it was clear that when they wanted to pass they were probably the best side around who could do so. It's just a shame that they resorted to some unnecessary off the ball tactics when they didn't have to.
whilst i dont think any 7yr olds were scarred for life in the game vs raptors , the players on the park know how croatia played and what they did off the ball (punches, elbows, deliberatly stepping on feet). Not to take away from their results of late.
i just don't see why players from any team, who at the end of the day are playing amateurs for the love of the game, would play so dirty.
it's a shame that croatia play like that. a TRUE champion team would just play the game fairly, win, say thank you very much, and go home.
whilst croatia have proved that they are capable of winning the tough games, they haven't earned my respect
Inter on the other hand, whilst not always seeming to be the best side in the league (except for in goal-scoring consistency), deserve praise for playing hard but fair, winning the league, and earning respect from all the other sides.

have to agree with 'at the east' and say it didn't sit well for me either seeing the first posted result for sunday games was an ex-player having a jibe, it may not have been intended as a jibe but did come across that way. we know you had legitimate reasons for leaving monkey boy so not having a go about that just maybe think about the way you word your posts about your old club to avoid any misconceptions.Monkey Boy wrote:Mate....AtTheEast wrote:We were terrible yesterday for sure and from the sidelines it was probably one of the worst games to watch. East have got PFG in the last rd. If we pinch a win or draw it could be them going down with us.. 2 clubs with lots of tradition in div 1. The Farm have now established themselves in this div and it looks as though next year will be tight again with Inter and Fulham (confirmed?) coming back up. Interesting times.
....He's sick.
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy she knows that he was going with this girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 flavours last night. Guess it's pretty serious

Re: results 24th
Waste of 90 minutes apart from watching some comical play.....
I cant understand the comments about players from the east bagging all the teams above us...there aren't really that many of us even on here to start with. And speaking of bagging, its great to see ex players come out on a forum and kick us whilst we're down!!quote]
Mate....
I come on here as a mere observer of Sunday games these days. I was the one yelling out at the ref and their players supporting you boys on the weekend. Dont forget my history with the club is far greater than yours and dont you worry about my support buddy. I am as devasted as you all are that the club are going down. I was there when it happened before and stayed there to get them back up. I believe that you have done well against the bigger clubs, but maybe not done enough against the lower teams. And Im not kicking you while your down, I think I've just said what many people believe... you said it yourself that you did well with the squad you guys have (and yes because many players left last year), but that doesnt mean you deserve to stay in the league. I just put it a bit more blunt.
And dont get going about me leaving, because you know my reasons....
have to agree with 'at the east' and say it didn't sit well for me either seeing the first posted result for sunday games was an ex-player having a jibe, it may not have been intended as a jibe but did come across that way. we know you had legitimate reasons for leaving monkey boy so not having a go about that just maybe think about the way you word your posts about your old club to avoid any misconceptions.
Have to agree with AtTheEast & Tickets4Cheese, although im sure you didnt mean any offence Monkey Boy im sure you understand how your last comment must read to any Easties guys on here.
We appreciate your support on the sidelines, as most teams know we dont have the biggest supporter base anyway and any ex-players coming to watch us is great. Your post just hit a nerve with a few players.
And yes you are right in that you do have a longer history at the club than AtTheEast and your reasons for leaving this season are totally undestandable. But give credit where its due because AtTheEast and a couple of others could have taken the easy option, like some i could mention, and left as well. They didnt though and have had the guts to stick it out fully knowing that it was going to be a long hard season.
