Ok boys. Now i did say that n the vista vs raptors reserves game - Vista should have put the game away well beyond reach within the first 30 minutes but for poor finishing this was not the case. I was very impressed with the raptors referee in the opening half as he made alot of calls against the home side... much like the vista ref!!! But it just seemed that in the second half there were some calls made against us that werent being given both ways. Yes Vista should have won this game without the ref having anything to do with it but as it was we didnt finish our chances.
As for the first team game - Vista were not on their day and as Carra said before, the referee was swung by the abuse copped which is to be expected. Well done to the Raptors boys they are definately a quality side and make some very good attacks. I think that they deserve the results they have got and have proved that their first half of the season was not just luck.
Cheers to the guys on the BBQ too!

Downs were denied a free kick when R Taylor was brought down when clear through about to go 1 on 1 with the keeper. Florina player should have been sent off. Mr Braithwaite misses plenty for both teams.
Downs played well without twin towers Reeves and Fuda.
Overall Downs deserved the win.
they were not goals then were they, florina disallowed 2 goals

Was a great game had every thing both teams deserved the win Peace in goals the difference must of been the 2 beers he had before the gamereddevil wrote:gardens 3 - vale 3. vale went up 1 nil through michael brooks. stayed that way until half time. second half gardens equalised then went 2-1 up then 3-1 up with about 7 minutes to play the then vale made it 3-2 then equalised with a couple of minutes to go. matt peace had the game of his life if it wasnt for him it could of been at least 7 or 8-3 to the gardens. gaol scorers. gardens- andy o'malley, ibrahim and kirk burfet. vale- michael brooks and chris nicholls double.

spot on leethal, your keeper was great for you guys, ohh and we have lost all of our 1st team keepers, so we had a 45 yr old in goals, credit to the grove for being so consistent besides losing to bosna ofcourseLeethal wrote:Possibly.. the goal keeper wasn't the first team regular. How many did the KING score??
Furburger scored two, one a absolute ripper volley.
Full marks and respect to Central City Tigers, they just kept playing and pushed forward to have a few chances. They showed real honour by continuing to play, if i was getting hammered that much i would not be able to stand to make another run.

reserves were simply not good enough to take the chances that we created in the first 25 minutes of the first half, went into the break 1-0 down with the ref having had a good half despite their goal. they were both gimmes. the first one was a blatant foul with their player reaching over and pulling the defender out of the way. the referee claimed "i didnt see it". the second was clearly offside. ISC goalkeeper played very well but was the only stand out i thought. vista created many chances and had they been put away the poor referee decisions wouldnt have been a factor. 4 set pieces within shooting distance of the goal over the course of the game all went to waste.[/b]carra23 wrote:Very bad day at the office today for Vista.Football_lad wrote: Pathetic refereeing in both a's and bs today away at ISC... A's referee was atrocious from the outset. giving many soft free kicks and lost control of the game early. Think he started to give the 50-50 balls against us coz of some mouthing off which was to be expected with a dismal display.

I do have to disagree just a tad with your coments though FL.
Our 1st reserves goal was at least a yard offside and the imbros ref allowed play to go on so maybe he evened it up? I dont know because I didnt see the end of the 2nd half.
Also our A team's 1st half display today was one of the worst all season for many many different reasons, the 2nd half was much better and we were unlucky not to get a result which is partly due to 3 great saves from the Imbros keeper.
I agree the ref was not the best we've had (am I being polite?) but the abuse he got on and off the pitch was not good, and as I've said before he's human and he's (as we've seen before) going to lean towards the opposition if it gets too much.
We were on a loser from early in the 1st half.

Pathetic refereeing in both a's and bs today away at ISC... ISC raptor was a blatant cheat allowing a raptors goal in the last ten minutes that was clearly at least 1.5 meters offside even after the linesman flagged... think he needs to brush up on the rulebook too! At the end of the day, Vista should have come away with three points even without this goal... scoreline should have been 5-1 really but way too many chances wasted.

Get over it and accept it when u dont win instead of writing an essay on why u guys didn't win the game.

You can play with seven. It's when it gets down to six the referee has to abandon a gameSlobodan Yurchin wrote:I think after four reds to one side the game is automatically stopped, don't think you're allowed to play with 7 men. 4 f'king red cards to Croatia players ended game.
Ref lucky to be still breathing!
Must understand that people DO NOT come to see the ref official a game (stay unseen prick!) and needs to stay emotionally detached from side-line slander.
We don't need refs like that in this league!!!!!!!!!
I agree with your qoute about no-one goes to watch the ref play, thats as good a qoute as I've seen on here.
Its very hard though to stay detached from the shoite coming from the sidelines mate, our game today was the same, no matter how good the ref is they are only human and enough abuse from the sidelines will end up in 50/50's going against you.
Our ref was not the best to say the least but I'm certain he was swayed by the sideline abuse he was getting so for that we only have ourselves (or our 'so called' support) to blame for it.
Oops I'm sorry had to rush off - needed to get dinner before the Australia game, will remember you next time!robinfriday10 wrote:good game by the gully , went behind to a well worked goal(not that i saw it, but was told) but battled back and kept pushing forward and finally dell boy came to the party with a brilliant hatrick , 2 smashed and a pearler of a chip. game played in good spirits pretty well reffed only one thing missing was a crown lager![]()

Can't agree more about the hatrick, thought at 1-0 we had some good chances but chose to pass rather than shoot! But 3 great goals was the difference. Thought the referee was excellent no complaints there - although didn't have much to do, good clean game!
Excellent wins yesterday for both the Gullies A's & B's.
B's had another solid performance. 2-0 up at the break until some forced changes had to made for the A's. Knights attacked solidly for the first 20 or so of the 2nd half and got one back but then we struck again with 5-10 remaining to seal the win & keep us perched on top.
A's played quite well in the 1st half although being 0-1 at the break. Played well I thought in the first half for no reward. 2nd half was brilliant. Wave after wave of attacks on the Knights goal and Del Boy had a ripper. I've seen him score some cracking hat-tricks but this one has to be one of his best. 2 perfectly placed in the top corners on opposite feet and then a 25 yard stunner. Much needed 3 points i think everyone would agree

Vista V Raptors - 2-4.....here goes, first off, well played to Raptors, killed us in the 1st half, Vista looked out of sorts, going 2-0 down very easy to simple goals, got one back (after having a goal disallowed by opposing linesman when our player ran ON to the ball, hence meaning was onside when the ball was played), Raptors scored a 3rd, possible offside however our linesman which i trust so all is good. After half time, Vista scored a 2nd which really lifted the side, had other chances however great saves from goal keeper, which resulted in goal kicks!!!!, Raptors killed the game off with a 4th. Game played in good spirits, good banta, good bunch of lads........Not going to get started on the ref, he knows he had a massive influence on the game, at least 6 yellow cards for Vista, unpunished fouls by Raptors, even the Raptors players were amazaed with how much that got given. Just going to leave it at that, extremely hard to stay focussed when you get given nothing and you wait 80mins of a game, then ask a player to take his wedding ring off, shocking, ill leave it at that

i think you forgot to mention that at 2-0 (inside the first 20 min) the raptors hit the crossbar and you blokes cleared off the line!!!!
i think vista people on the forum (like some others in the area) cant accept that we have taken max points from them!!!!
every now then its ok to say...'you know what, they were the better team and outplayed us".... like we did after the pontians game (and have been better for it).
its a close comp, every team deserves every other teams respect!!!!!!!

never said it did, ref lost control of the game from the start, pety shite like that after 80 mins shows to me that he was not on his game for 80 mins, taken him 80 minutes to realise his mistake, which he then had to take care of. I accept defeat, its hard but has to be done, like i stated you guys were clearly the better side for the 1st half, parts of the 2nd, however 3-1 half time, 1-1 2nd half, hard to come back after 2 early easy goalsthen ask a player to take his wedding ring off, shocking, ill leave it at that
