Its just hit me maybe 20mins ago, how sad its really gonna be without Ascoli in A . 2 wonderful years, which made me feel like we where home, just seeing the name Ascoli in the Serie A fixtures is a great feel, because its proof we're there. Its hard to imagine a soccer night with the boys, without listening to the radio for Ascoli, and jumping in celebration when they scored. Its hard to think that i may never do another soccer nights with the boys with Ascoli in Serie A (i can't see Ascoli making it up straight away). Serie A seasons seem to go quickly, yet Serie B seasons seem much longer, I don't want us in B, I want Serie A, I farken want to stay up. Its farken too sad, FFS. Spending years in the lower divisions, once you make it you never want to leave again. Even just listening them with the big boys is such a thrill.
My support will never faulter but its so farken sad.
FORZASCOLI
Come on Ascoli, lets do well in Serie B - No more Saturday nights out - Saturday nights are Ascoli nights.

Even Serie C1, remember Fontana, Bruno, Bonfiglio, Barzagli, Di Venanzio, etc, etc. Those guys guys showed real passion for the club. And our tifosi were at their absolute best. Have you been to any games?Stradbroke wrote:Whether in the Seie A or B its Ascoli for me....aussie_ascoli wrote:Its just hit me maybe 20mins ago, how sad its really gonna be without Ascoli in A . 2 wonderful years, which made me feel like we where home, just seeing the name Ascoli in the Serie A fixtures is a great feel, because its proof we're there. Its been a while and I'm probably older than you but I saw my first Ascoli match (in Ascoli) in their first year in Serie A, I think they came 3rd or 4th that year.... it was the highlight of my tripaussie_ascoli wrote:Even Serie C1, remember Fontana, Bruno, Bonfiglio, Barzagli, Di Venanzio, etc, etc. Those guys guys showed real passion for the club. I meant that it was the first time "I" saw them in Serie A.......I'm glad you had the opportunity to see them.....Anyway its good to chat with another Appignanesi, there's not that many of us aroundaussie_ascoli wrote:Yes you are much older than me that would of been 79/80 where they finished 5th but 4th because of Milan-Lazio gambling thing. Then finished 6h in 81/82. But in 79/80 it would of been their 4th season. I went in last season and saw Ascoli-Treviso highlight of my trip as well.

Nah theres not many of us, but the ones here in Adelaide are mainly from Appignano, or Castel Di Lama.Stradbroke wrote:I meant that it was the first time "I" saw them in Serie A.......I'm glad you had the opportunity to see them.....Anyway its good to chat with another Appignanesi, there's not that many of us aroundaussie_ascoli wrote:Yes you are much older than me that would of been 79/80 where they finished 5th but 4th because of Milan-Lazio gambling thing. I can't wait to go back the next time, i'll even go to away games hopefully, we'll see if i'm still alive though (travelling with the ultras).
Lftwng on this forum is also from Appignano, but he's felt the need to support Lazio instead of the great Ascoli, a small club thats needs everyones support, .

Get him in contact with me on the forum. The more the better, if we get enough people, i hope to start a english section on the Ascoli forum.yogi wrote:I think my boss at work is an "Ascoli" supporter. And now ive added "Celtic" to the clubs he supports.

How ironic that what condems Ascoli to B comes from the whistle of the referee. With constant major errors costing many points, the referee's cannot simply hold back for the next few weeks to give us peace as we die for this season. They had to make sure the final bullet was delivered by them, and aimed at the head. We've suffered enough under your regime.

sorry it definately was not existant, unless you get penalties for falling over yourself next to a defender and throwing your arms in the air... oh wait, we are talking about eyetalian league.aussie_ascoli wrote:How can it even be considered soft, when it was non-existant. It just shows referees in italy still control the game, unfortunetely.LFTWNG11 wrote:twas 3 all, with Catania getting a late penalty to equalise, which was a very soft penalty!

They always do that! especially if it is against the teams they have rights for -Catania/ Lazio/ Torino/ Cagliari- they comment when they score as they are familiar with the players, but I remember watching numerous times they say nothing at all after a goal (pretty poor). Cagliari versus Reggina Vigiani scored and the players were going nuts, they said nothing untill after the celebrations and the game resumed.
