Surplus to requirements at WHL, obviously not happy about it either. Well played Bassong  :D

I feel you have just blow your place of employments chance to "rewrite Arsenals calendars"
Whilst I will never pass up the chance to wind you buggers up, you will note that in none of my posts have I ever said we'd get third. Even when we were flying, I knew we had a hard run of fixtures to come and I've seen too many teams fall away in the last 10-15 games in the past. Sadly our poor form has coincided with Arsenal getting huge amounts of luck

You might not have predicted 3rd but I bet you thought it.
3 weeks ago you said Arsenal had a sticky run home, whilst the Spuds had a far easier run in....(see your post below)
I'd have happily accepted this position at the beginning of the season, only 3 points behind third and with, on paper, a far easier run in, it should go down to the wire.
Now you're saying you knew you had a hard run of fixtures to come
Which is it?

Since Big Mac and Haywood are Goons, I'll forgive them for being irredeemably stupid.

The run of hard games I referred to basically started with the game at the New Library (although we'd played City away a few weeks before), then we had United, Everton, Sunderland and Chelsea in quick succession. It was obvious that we'd drop points in some of those matches.

This, I wrote about 2 weeks ago and you will note, unlike you peasants, I did not brag, I was sensible.

It's not over yet but looks more like a struggle for fourth for us. :(

Irredeemably stupid? ....but you failed to highlight (conveniently) in bold A FAR EASIER RUN IN from your post.
Now I might be wrong..but when someone says we have a "far easier run in", it means...well, I think...that you felt you had "A FAR EASIER RUN IN".
So when did your hard run start and finish?..and when does your easy run start?
Last 6 matches:- Spuds L D D W D L for 6 points
Arsenal W W W L W W for 15 points.

Just shows that small club down the road doesn't have what it takes to maintain a top 4 challenge when it counts in matches against other contenders. NOC mentions his clubs tough run of fixtures... Look at our last 7 or 8 match record above that consists of wins against the poo, spuds, newcastle, everton, citeh all handled well under pressure & got the required results when needed :D

Forever in our shadow!

Oh good, at least you've proved me correct for inferring you're stupid. Or are you suggesting that, on paper (as I wrote) Spurs' last 8 games (when I wrote it) were harder than Arsenal's? Put the spade down before you answer.

For the record, our hard run ended with the Chavs game and we're now into the easy run in. The first 3 games we've only managed 4 points from 9. Losing to Norwich at home is a killer, but can't honestly say we deserved to get anything from the game.

I am not suggesting Spurs last 8 are harder than Arsenals...as you pointed out on the 25/3 Spuds do have a "far easier run in"...totally agree...and you call me stupid
Wait till the season ends then you can tell us when you think the hard and easy runs started.

QPR were shit but we were dire. That was a fucking disaster. Harry's lost the plot since Capello left England.

Accuracy and truthfulness not really gooner qualities, but I'll take it on the chin. Gutted to see that muppet, who's a fucking useless show pony for 99% of the game, stick the ball in the net. Have to ask what the fuck Friedel thought he was doing though.

Need a striker who can complement Adebayor & VDV, another midfielder to replace Modric who will now leave for Chelsea or Man Utd, a central defender to cover King who needs bionic legs & bring thru more of the youngsters like rose & Livermore.
As for Freidel, some people obviously haven't watched him this season....what a stand out compared to Man utds, Liverpools & arsenals keepers ! But should look for another young keeper if we get rid of that nutter Gomes.
Harry is all class & has brought some genuine style back to the Lane. We will lose Modric, Bale, Lennon , krankjear & probably defoe over the next 2 seasons so we need to bolster stocks & show our intentions to stay up in the top 4.
