Only a PR person would have the lack of shame to try and gather public support for herself doing it "tough" when she has benefited from the proceeds of crime in the way she has.

Warner to "sell" his story to the media in a tell all for $1m if he doesn't get his way? The bloke sure knows how to alienate himself even further...

what else would you expect, the guy is over 30 and on the decline.
Smith and Bancroft are under 30, and can come back quicker....

Interesting. Re Starc, I'm not so sure. Even the umps didn't see anything unusually wrong with the ball, so why would anyone else?

Smith and Warner don't deserve to wear the baggy green again, Bancroft will find it hard - surely?Wayne Kerr wrote:Bomber wrote:Warner to "sell" his story to the media in a tell all for $1m if he doesn't get his way? The bloke sure knows how to alienate himself even further...

Did Atherton (1994), Younis (2000), Tendulkar (2001), Dravid (2004), Afridi (2010) Du Plesis (2013) lose their spots and never play agin for their countries?

No, they weren't. At this moment, neither of those three.
However, none of those were involved in a conspiracy of cheating and lies. Bancroft alone is bigger than all of those mentioned without even bringing in the leadership team.

Cheating is cheating isn't it? Especially in a sport that considers itself the Gentlemen's game.God is an Englishman wrote:No, they weren't. At this moment, neither of those three.

Personally, I think that if you are in a leadership position and you conspire to cheat in the way that's gone on there needs to be a higher level of punishment than a regular player due to the prestige of the role.
Being captain of the Australian Cricket team is probably worth $10m+ for the extra sponsorship and business opportunities.

Yes, how dare I complain about racism. Terrible terrible me.
It's not an admission, he says former team mates. He might have been talking about this time in Brisbane.

Re: Aus v Sth Africa
Did you also read the part where he said is was nonsense that only 3 players knew or are you only choosing the bits to suit your purpose?
He also said that none of it was as bad as this incident. Did you miss that part as well?

I accept all of it, can't see why you would think otherwise.

Re: Aus v Sth Africa
Funny how Michael Clarke threw his hat in the ring to come out of retirement and lead the side again. He has no form so why would he be selected to start with? The only positive I can see from it would be him getting out of the commentary box!

Re: Aus v Sth Africa
Mike Atherton held onto the England captaincy and avoided suspension but he was fined $3,700.
The young skipper was using dirt, taken from the pitch, to try to keep his hands less sweaty while working on the ball during a Test against South Africa at Lord's.
Gutless ECB!

Re: Aus v Sth Africa
In cricket, it's not but obviously there's degrees of cheating. Clearly putting some dirt on the ball is not equivalent to match fixing or the "leadership team" being caught all cheating.Bomber wrote:Go easy on hawkesy - its ok to cheat a little bit, just not a lot.
