We have been unlucky at times, especially considering you and many others moved here many, many years ago and some are still here complaining about it.
How unlucky can one Country be ?

Got to give you that, I mean look at the fact that all of the shit the world didn't want came here and some have actually made something of themselves and the country.

Two captains, similar ages, similar records - both suffer humiliating defeats with people calling for their sacking - one braves it through showing character determined to prove the doubters wrong and ultimately triumphs whereas the other one....

Pitch "doctored" again. Could be another 2-3 day test. Surely if Clarke wins toss, he'll bowl this time?

Just reading about how thr pitch is doctored. Just think, people think the English are the best at whingeing. This series has conclusively proved that the Aussies beat us at that.
Oh and another one retired.

See this is it - you lot really struggle with the term "whingeing" - its merely stating a fact and for me, its nothing more than a normal English wicket should be.
The ECB ordered a green top - they got one. What's the problem? Doctoring? Yes. Care factor? None!
In summary, sorry, but you clearly still hold the world championship in the whingeing stakes, so at least you lead the world at something.
PS - Rogers was always going to make this his last test series - at his age, you'd expect him to go on I suppose?

But if I state a fact then I'm whingeing - an Aussie hypocrite - wow I'm shocked.
The fact you call it doctoring proves the whinge. I'll remember this next Australian series when a pitch is not exactly how I want it to be.

ECL ordered a green top - what part of this is not deemed "doctoring"?
And how is it whingeing when I said I think its the right call?

The fact you use the phrase doctoring is whingeing - you know if I said cricket Australia doctored pitches you'd claim I was whingeing.
How is it doctoring? If that's doctoring them EVERY test nation doctors

Doctoring is a simple term used when describing preparing wickets that suit a particular facet that would advantage the home team - how is this possibly a whinge, especially when I said I think its fair enough?
When does Australia "doctor" pitches? Each has its own characteristics that are by and large the same regardless of who's touring, what the score might be, etc etc.
Holy cow, your responses to date are bigger whinges than anything I've posted about it.

You have said that the ECB have ordered these pitches, do you really think cricket Australia don't do the same?
Let me guess, everyone's doctoring apart from Australia. You wonder why I take the piss out of you lot?

I've gone through it before:
Gabba - great pitch, assist quicks early on, true bounce and takes spin
SCG - renown for decent batting scores but favours spin
MCG - can keep low at times but overall a fair wicket with little advantage for either (bat or ball)
WACA - nice and bouncy, suits the quicks, but bit hitters can make quick runs due to consistent bounce
AO - usually a batman's paradise - win toss and bat, make big score, but usually produces a result
Regardless who we play here, the above pretty much sums things up, ie no "altering" or dare I say "doctoring" coming into it.
But believe what you believe, as misguided as it is.

To start with the SCG hasn't been this spinners paradise from some year.
All of your pitches give the fast bowlers assistance more than any other countries. The pitch is prepared in this manner. If it's not "doctored" then there wouldn't even be a pitch. The grass has to be cut and rolled. DOCTORED

Yeah that pitch break down is now well and truly history, all pretty much the same now. Anyway the aussie cricket board issue edicts to the curators on how they want the wickets prepared much like any other board, this year it is for definitely no flat pitches. Bet the Sydney wicket for the Kiwis won’t be like the one for last Ashes after Lehman’s public whinge, so much for independent curators.

Pitch has been prepared as requested, you know that as much as anyone.
