need to look at 90 - 97 as well as i'm sure laudrup and gazza didn't go to glasgow for a holiday

Wylde and Celik leave Rangers.

Gregg Wylde and Mervan Celik have left Rangers but the remaining squad members are in discussions with the club's administrators over wage cuts.

Wylde, 20, and Celik, 21, have had their offers for voluntary redundancy with no pay-off accepted.

Duff & Phelps have been meeting the squad in a last-ditch attempt to agree on wage cuts as the club strives to make monthly savings of £1m.

Some players have agreed reduced terms to stay but with incentives.

These include free transfers in the summer or being allowed to leave for reasonable offers.

If agreement is reached, high earners could face wage cuts of 75%, middle earners 50% and other players 25%.

Wylde told BBC Scotland on Tuesday: "I volunteered to walk with no redundancy package today to help the other people in the club who have families, like the kitchen staff.

"I offered to walk away yesterday and the club told me today that they would accept that offer.

"At the moment I have nowhere to go and I don't have another club.

"I don't know what is going to happen next but I thought it was important to play my part in saving Rangers."

Celik is a Sweden Under-21 international attacking midfielder who moved to Ibrox from GAIS in Gothenburg on a three-and-a-half year deal in January.

Duff & Phelps had delayed previous deadlines over cuts with negotiations between the firm, players and union protracted.

Got to take your hats off to those who have walked away without worrying about any pay outs or those that are taking pay cuts to help the club.

In this mercenary days of footballers then good on them. Surely even the mick/fenians/tims can admit that?

I'd rather take the risk of getting nothing than actually getting nothing.

Seriously, what planet are you on when you can't appreciate this is a good thing they have done. Clearly your hatred is blinding you, how very sad.

Here come the excuses......
we have nine players out with injuries (Ness, Bartley,Naismith,Goain,Broadfoot,Whittaker,Lafferty,)plus two are suspended (Papac,Bocanegra), two out on loan (Fleck,Hutton) , two sold (Jelavic & Mckay), and two left for the benefit of the club. Celik and Whylde
The Old Firm game this Sunday maybe painful to watch because Celtic are playing their best football for years.
To give credit where it’s due, Dundee United played very well and deserve the points.
Celtic result overnight loss to Killy at leats brings a smile.
Also, Celtic has shown interest to join League One. I hope they don’t go…..

Yep, credit were it's due, Killie put up a brick wall against Celtic last night and it was hard to break down.
Congrats to Killie for winning the League Cup for the first time.

Liam Kelly ( Kilmarnock Midfielder ) ran up the tunnel after receiving the cup as his father had a
suspected heart attack after the game in the stands.
Hopefully he is ok !

Now, for the " Double " ,,,,,,,
