Re: The Ashes tour 2015
Never judge a score until both teams have batted
But
Surely we can do better than that.

Make hay because the sun is definitely shining. We deserve everything insult you can throw, if you dont we already are giving it to them. Piss poor effort.God is an Englishman wrote:Never judge a score until both teams have batted

Re: The Ashes tour 2015
Pity I'll be in Southampton tomorrow. A trip up to Nottingham tomorrow might have been the go otherwise.
At least I'll have something entertaining to listen to on the radio while I'm stuck in a traffic jam on the M25.

It was an absolutely disgraceful batting performance in that session.Steve#4 wrote:Make hay because the sun is definitely shining. Broad took 8 wickets and all of them were caught behind the wicket.
Awful awful batting.
No point winning 5-0 at home and celebrating the way they did to then go to England and get beat so badly.
Haven't won there since 2001 and will be a long while before we do again
WHO TOOK MY TV GUIDE???

What is even more cringing is the way they talked it up after the second test.Frank Costanza wrote:It was an absolutely disgraceful batting performance in that session.Steve#4 wrote:Make hay because the sun is definitely shining. I feel for thebowlers as the batsmen are to blame for the crap we are witnessing

And you will be caught in a jam on that section of the M25 on a Friday as well. Leave before about 2 and you might be OK.Mad_Max wrote:Pity I'll be in Southampton tomorrow. A trip up to Nottingham tomorrow might have been the go otherwise.

Whilst I agree (to an extent) that's taking a lot away from Broad's bowling.
Re: The Ashes tour 2015
Broad bowled where he needed to and was a good plan from your coach as indicated after broads first wicket.
He bowled well but no where near as well for his figures on his bowling alone.
He needs to drop ofa carton into the Australian dressing room after today's play

Is Mitchell Johnson coping with the banter?

@ Hawksey (or any of our other fine English folk)
I read an article by a pommie journo who used the term 'English dollop'...what/who was he referring to?...serious question as I've never heard the saying before...

Re: The Ashes tour 2015
Clarke's dismissal was the worst. The rest was just damned good bowling - day 1 first session the ball was always going to swing about. Still, one has to question the batting techniques - jabbing away as they did is ideal slips catching practice.
I was thinking is this a T20 game I'm watching, but then realised even then they didn't last 20 overs.
I missed all the pre-match stuff - why was Mitchell Marsh left out?

Re: The Ashes tour 2015
Well Clarke made a big deal about saying a bowler for an all rounder. Then bowled Warner ahead of him. Then again, Shaun marsh is not an all rounder so maybe I misheard him.Bomber wrote:Clarke's dismissal was the worst. Watson has made more runs in this series than Mitch marsh is half the innings.

Re: The Ashes tour 2015
I think if Anderson was playing/bowling, would we have made it to 30?
I think Cook should take the piss and declare now. Cant see us making 200 next dig on that first up effort. Poms could celebrate much earlier and go on a real bender!

Re: The Ashes tour 2015
I remember when people said we were shit. I said that you can win at home and so could we. Those people said that Australia were better as they won the last series
Any comments now?
