i know you are playing a mixed side missing the new signings, gerrard etc but to lose another game by a fair margin is not a good sign

Galatasaray aren't a bad side.. Did you watch the game? Second half was all Liverpool tbh, first half we barely saw the ball.
There is not a depth problem imo there is a problem with leaving half of your side back in Liverpool. Gerrard, Reina, Downing, Henderson, Carragher, Skrtel, Agger, Meireles, Lucas, Suarez, Johnson, Aurelio, N'gog, Pacheco All to come back into that squad.... Second half was better when Kuyt and Aquilani got on the pitch to give some kind of service to Carroll. Cole continued his rich vein of form and managed to avoid the ball quite well all game. Not overly worried about the preseason games, if it creeps into the season then i may be worried. Chelsea only beat Malaysia XI 1-0 and that was an own goal.. i would worry about my own side if i was you. City had to beat Galaxy on penalties...

only beat a team 1-0? how can that be compared to being beat 3-0 to Galatasaray and Hull City

i dont understand not giving any of the bigger names some game time? wouldnt they rather to get some match fitness?

Some of our players are injured (long term).

The others will be playing on Monday.

Not good to lose, not good to let in 3 goals, but I am not concerned (yet!!!).

im actually hoping liverpool do improve this year, its a better competition when the big teams are all playing well

this is shaping up as one of the most competitive EPL years in recent years and i am so bloody excited

its not an ideal preperation and even if your missing a few players you should be beating these teams, the defence is a real issue for you guys. Leaked 15 goals in 5 games

not been a great pre-season to prepare for the season opener but then again not all best players have been available. As long as some formations and tactics are being used and some new younger players are being given a run it gives them a chance to get a taste of top flight football.

Bring on the season!
