Well done to Trev Elliot in getting his supporters back off the pitch at half time. Some great lads doen at Floria in all grades, but a pitty that a select few are there for the wrong reasons.

Who r these select few u speak of? Everyone at the club is there to have fun and enjoy the game. If you're implying that some players are there just to punch on I suggest looking in the mirror, considering the amount of cheap shots thrown behind play by some of the downs boys.

Totally agree mate. The banter is always good fun.

I know liam does cause a few problem. His speed usually means he get chopped quite a bit and his tackles are poor, but he always attempts for the ball. As most of us do- including that tackle I missed. Yes I did say get new shinny but the only part I saw broken was the foam on the side and it- not the actually shin pad itself. I may have been wrong when refereeing however it happed both ways. I just dont like blatant kicks when the ball is never the intention- most people dont.

However grat day of football- well done to Florina- deserved A grade winner. And well done to the day in general- Great BBQ and Beer- specially being so close the the pitch. Get a few more wins and stay up please.

I agree with what you are saying here, as I have played for Florina in the past and there are a lot of people there who I respect greatly. On the day I was definately sitting on the maroon side of the fence and I copped plenty of abuse, as much as I would have definately given out.

One thing that is dissapointing is hearing that guys that i have played with saying things along the lines of.. "I wish someone would shut him up"(aimed at myself) and a sub coming on claiming he was going to take me out. Seriously that is playing the game in the spirit, or banter as you say. I know everyone will deny it was said and no one will man up to it, but it was over heard by someone who is very close to me, and that person tried to signal me when the substitute came on. Luckily nothing came of it and I would hope it was just the testoterone on the day.

I personally agree with Rexie though, for me it stays on the park and therefore is in the spirit of the game, and lets face it without things like this what the hell would we keyboard warriors get to write about.
