Great to eventually read more realism to the junior fee phenomena.
I will give a another reflection of our time today.
In our time you hardly saw parents watching junior soccer because they were too busy working compared to today.

No need no crowds I can see the game free at Polonia from Rugby Av across the road.
If this snowballs and others catch on, we'll have no choice but to up the junior fees. Thanks a lot John!!
Shoot goal
Thank you for your reaction which ratifies that your club must be using junior fees to fund the seniors.
This is the reality of the FFSA NPL today.
Super low crowds comparing the good old days to today.
Lowest prize money ever,
Highest junior fees in history.
The local game is not healthy at all in regards to cost factors.
I was only approached yesterday by a junior soccer father expressing to me the cost issues for junior soccer and agreeing with me.

Kilburn?
Will it have enough junior grounds ?
Will it have enough car parking ?
It doesnt need junior grounds, as they already have a base at Park B27 and Kingston Gardens.
It looks like it has one additional training venue, which also can be used as an additional car park.
Havent you read the plans JD? It states that it has quite a number of car parking designated areas.

I would have thought with the jewel in the crown eg park b27 the club could use this as a higher negotiation tool or strategy to try achieve a better deal eg combining seniors and juniors into one super sports community club??? Eg Gillman???

After the demise of Wah what has happened ?
Three Greek background splinter soccer groups
Comets
Wah2
Olympic
A good thing
The future now is how are these groups going to combine their seniors and juniors into one facility?
Not many as such,
That is the way of the future.
If Wah 2 can see the light? Gillman is the answer .
Who can be the first from these three groups to do so?

Tell Salisbury Florina about it. I'm sure they would be interested.

Pathetic making fun of Salisbury Florina.
Do not worry the oldest continuous Greek background soccer club has its own community hall in Ingle Farm.

You do realise that the Government wont be releasing Gillman land for possibly another decade in their plans.
Their current focus in that particular area is on New Port area and selling off that land, building up the area and then moving onto Gillman ready for EOI in around 2025.
Plus the Gillman land is not quite suitable at the moment, it will cost 100s of millions goes to remediate and get ready for any housing, commercial or public use.
Shoot goal
Even Port Adelaide is a better spot than Kilburn near the old docks somewhere .
Electric Tram there .
Large capacity soccer stadium there.
But you will have to change the name to Port Hellas.??!

Stop thinking it costs millions.
It will cost nothing to any sporting club because the government needs well established sports clubs in new areas as social capital. You cannot buy social capital you have to facilitate it.
Look at AO and cricket and saca the Govts funded it like free.
A suitable sports club ends up being peppercorn facility custodians.
Only the old sasf and now FFSA is trying to butter its toast by charging high fees for soccer grounds which were built or upgraded by sa govt tax payers money. FFSA did not fund any of these new grounds.

Adelaide was booming in the Premier Playford time he did not use rocket science but Affordable Housing as a stimulus. In those days it was called the SAHT. This can be done again using Gillman to get Adelaide moving again.
Gillman is close to port Adelaide parts of Gillman could be redeveloped in conjunction with the redevelopment of port Adelaide .

Gee that Gillman Land is in the press today.
I have not forgotten about the dislike of the ethnic name band and the ever increasing cost of junior soccer to families.
That Kilburn proposed move by wah2 is still in my books not a good idea.
Better stay at west beach .

Having seniors and juniors at one location is the ideal move if you can do it.
Wah2 can still try to acheive this using parkb27 as a negotiation tool.

Credence is a belief that something is true. You believe your ideas to be brilliant. That is not true.
Posting on a forum for 15 years doesn't "give" you anything.
