Since now the FFSA NPL has been turned into an AU Training League AU should step up out of goodwill and properly sponsor this league and the clubs in it.
I suggest they pay all FFSA club yearly playing fees and the clubs weekly referee fees?
Now that goodwill act will shut me up and say bravo AU.

I will give AU some more food for thought.
Put up proper championship and cups sponsorship money for NPL clubs to strive for.
It is in their best interest eg creating a stronger league to train in to produce better au players.

Again it shows the depth of Greek culture in Melbourne bravo.
Another eye opener if you want to investigate is say look for a job say via SEEK and put I n the search word "Greek" and location " Victoria". You will he amazed at how many Greek speaking aged care workers are wanted.

There are two sides of this story not just the FFSA .
Clubs will not speak the truth because of the FFSA gagging policy.
I say again these country games are not feasible for FFSA clubs in general and a pain .
Also AU in the FFSA league will devalue it further .
What are the crowd numbers for home au NPL matches? Thus far?

I listen to Adelaide Towns grapevine .
I ask again what is the FFSA doing to increase the prize money to the good old days level ???
That is the true litmus test .
Low crowds and low prize money is the true state of the local game a disgrace.

Wanderers 2-0
sentimental favourites (Wanderers) and home town pressure will be too much for Adelaide.

Maybe they were trying to gain a better view of the pitch in a stadium not designed for football by standing on seats not engineered to be stood upon?

At first I wasn't sure where John Dedes was coming from. But this thread explains a lot.
Firstly, he raises some very interesting points. Yes there are hundreds of disenfranchised fans in SA if not thousands. These people put their heart and soul in developing the game in SA only to have the rug pulled from under them.
Since then, the NPL in SA has in fact deteriorated. And I think he is right when he sya';s that this will have a dramatic effect on AUFC and junior development for future talent.
Also, AUFC is in actual fact a plastic franchise construct. Please don't get offended. This is what it actually is. there is little contact with the grass roots. It is not really a club like West Adelaide and Adelaide City were and still are. they are not a club like SMH are.
We will see how things go in 10 years or so.
I do however feel a little more upbeat about AUFC and its future. It should expand next year as far as member numbers are concerned. Whether it maintains it is another question I can't answer.

Simple an Adelaide Sheep syndrome effect.
The sad outcome was that AU hardly made a gate taking dollar out of it.
