like I said I didn't see it the first replay over, but if you get a chance to see it again watch the defenders knee (not his feet) and you will see the light...
tbh, if Samaras did fall over his feet and got the penalty and scored I still would be loving it with no regrets, but in this case it was a clear penalty and I will stand by that
Dear God man don't shoot your credibility in the foot by using them as a reference source, you were doing fine before then
lol
either way, right or wrong (but I am right) im as happy as a pig in shit

Greece played very well, had the better of the chances and 3x woodwork.
Deserved victory, might be a chance against Costa Rica.
Was a pen, as if i'll say otherwise, player comes in from behind (no jokes) when Samaras is winding up to shoot. Makes contact disrupts his action and trips on his own feet. The view from behind is the conclusive one.
Clear contact that impedes shooting action. (Watch samaras' left leg hit the players outstretched leg in the knee region)
Soft - yes but also a pen.
Ref got it spot on.

Great HELLAS win.
Was a penalty. The africans knee knocked Samaras's ankle and he went over.
Difficult to see but the ref had a good game. Nice take by Samaras as well. Lots of pressure.
Better side won.
So no one thought Greece would finish higher than England, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Australia, Japan etc....
ole ole for the Greeks.
The key thing here is what did the ref see from his angle in real-time, not in slow-motion?
I think Kostaki United is right - that Samaras got clipped as he was about to pull the trigger, hence his unco mis-kick.
Gotta admire the gritty determination of the whole team after nearly everyone wrote them off, even when they battled bravely with only 10 men for nearly an hour against Japan.
And hitting the woodwork THREE times, no less.
ps, and wot 'bout this Karagounis character - 37 years young, 10 years on from the miracle of Euro 2014, and he's still going strong!
Glad I'm not in Adelaide at the moment, with Australia, England, Croatia and Italy all going out and the bloody Greeks going through Never hear the last of it at work.
Whatever decisions they got or didn't get, I thought they deserved to beat Ivory Coast tbf.

Samaras goes to shoot, the defender blocks his downswing by putting his leg in the way (nowhere near the ball), causing Samaras to stumble. He hasn't just randomly clipped his own leg, the reason is because of the defender.
