Wow both villas really putting the sword to a few teams in div 2...

Wouldn't call flinders and hawks heated both teams weren't backing down and both gave as good as they got in the end but games played in good spirit and in the end you guys got over the line...

Ouch.... some soul searching about to go on down Viperville way me thinks.

Too many hard working members that sacrifice way too much family time to accept that result.

Hope they can pull together and salvage season 2014....Best of luck boys, too good a club to deserve that.
I'd be disappointed if that soul searching was only starting from now.

Is this a good time to re-raise that old debate from last season Steve? One player alone couldn't have possibly carried a whole team to promotion last season, could he? I'm sticking to my theory from last season and will say yes, Vipers would not have been anywhere near the summit last season if it wasn't for Matteo's Suarez impersonation. :D

The difference in leagues is not that wide. The difference between having a class striker, and not having one is though. But you already knew that right?

Total different squad from last season unfortunately. Would have been good to retain the majority and add a few key boys. This didn't happen unfortunately. He was good for us but I also rate his little mate that put the ball at his feet on more occasions than not.

Oh well, the juniors are going well so that's a bonus.

We also would like to thank Salisbury Villa for the paper confetti (rubbish) left on our grounds and the 10cent bottle gifts left on the grass. Much appreciated ;)
Sorry we didnt stock coronas for you guys too, really appreciated you guys went out to buy a few cartons. Cheers!
Your beers were hot, we brought plenty of rounds from your makeshift bar so dont get your panties in a knot because your boys got flogged.
Also are you sure our guys went out to buy coronas or did they go next door to the footy clubs bar and buy beers that were a more appropriate temperature?
There's nothing cute about hot beers.

Consider picking up the rubbish your punishment, and we'll accept a cheque or money order once you cash the bottles in.

Let this be a lesson to everyone. It doesn't matter how good, or how bad, you are at playing the game of football, there's no excuse for not knowing beers go in ice at least an hour before consumption. For fuc-k's sake! It's unmanly! Even a blind hooker with a baggy va-gina and one arm knows this simple commandment. And she's been sober 5 months now!

Pull your heads in.
Add that there should be plenty of ice to ensure all beers within box are almost fully covered. Preferably, prior to putting beer in said containers, they should first be refrigerated to ensure maximum quality of product.

The beers couldn't have been warmer than the beers Villa were drinking straight from the carton (teds & coronas)

Supporters at our home games (as you would know having played us there before) stand in between the two pitches where the marquee, BBQ and drinks are located, next to the bins. Drinks on ice is not ideal - our usual fridge on wheels is under repair, however bend over a little further and pull out a cold one from the bottom. Picking up rubbish after yourselves is just a standard human practice I would have thought.

Not to worry, the return leg should be just as entertaining. Eski's and supporters on the far side, away from the inviting razor wire fences.

And that's nothing against the players. Both games played in decent spirit with usual niggle and carry on. Looking forward to exacting revenge.

Northern Pitbulls vs. Northern Wolves.

B's 5-2
A's 2-4

The A's game was a cracker but that was expected as that's what happens when we play each other. The vibe was amazing with a vocal crowd which makes these games that much more enjoyable. The game was fiercely competitive with tackles and goals flying in everywhere. The game had 4 absolute spankers with one of our players kicking a hat-trick from 3 free kicks all of them no less than 25 yards out.

Thanks to the Pitbulls for the great atmosphere, food and a great game. We look forward to the return fixture.

Bit of sour grapes there mate?

I feel sorry for your keeper, spent the whole day picking up balls from the back of the net and bottles from the floor.

You lot hardly say a word on this forum, and when you do, it's to complain about opponents not buying hot beer and having to pick up some rubbish.

Remember when you guys use to win games and you would post the scores and positive comments? Those were the days.

In regardsto the villa v gleeson game

I was supporting my team on the side where there was 2 technical areas painted !!
last time i checked that is where the players and coaches should be (if i'm wrong please correct me)

if our supporters want be behind the team to support them they should be allowed to.

also not all of the people on that side were with villa, there were some people their that were watching the aussie rules.
so you cant say that the villa supporters are solely to blame.

every time we have a home game there is some rubbish to pick up so im sure you guys will be a ok

quite clearly you guys appear to be sore loosers and are deflecting the fact that you guys were lucky to only lose by 5.

In some sort of defence to Gleason I was at the oval today watching my niece play for metro at 9.00am and the away side technical area was a bit of brothel tape and crap left around the place...I would be a little cheesed off if that happened at hawks...

So you're confirming that Gleeson are complaining about rubbish they didn't even pick up?

I'd say that confirms the complaints have nothing to do with the rubbish.

I'd more say they shouldn't have to be in the position to pick up rubbish and every team should show respect and do their part...the last thing anyone wants to do is go clean up rubbish scattered all over the place...

 Cougars are a good team! But couldn't get close?
Villa now clear favourites to win the league.

Cougars had 7 players out and picked up another 2 injuries in the game. Don't read too much into this result

Steve, don't read into the scoreline too heavily - 2 goals in injury time of the 1st half, 2 goals in injury time of the 2nd (so a lapse in concentration). It was 1-1 up until the 40th minute, so take from that what you will. Saints know how to knock the ball around, don't let my message obscure that fact. A few key injuries also (including me :P).
