Surely these aren't the best players SA has to offer. I'm embarrassed I don't know about anyone else.
Re: 2012/13 Nationals
All goals are well constructed and capitalise on fundamental mistakes. Keeper is coming out in no man land and is more concentrated on the man than the ball. The 7th goal for NSW is a ripper. Seems that 6-weeks of training (one night a week) for preparation for this tournament is taking its toll ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Re: 2012/13 Nationals
NSW Metro 8 (Nathan Niski 3’, 5’, 9’, Jarrod Basger 4’, 9’, 12’, 18’, Jakob Radas 15’) South Australia 3 (Gian Andrade 22’, David Joncheff 34’, 39’)
NSW Metro put on a ruthless display of finishing to power past South Australia with a blitzkrieg of goals in a thumping 8-3 victory to go clear at the top of the table after five rounds. Metro was scintillating as an attacking force and ripped South Australia to shreds in a stunning opening twenty minutes that yielded eight goals without reply. It was Metro’s international pair that did most of the damage as they struck seven times between them in a top notch display. Niski opened the scoring in the third minute and went on to claim a nine minute hat-trick whilst Basger went one better bagging four in the opening stanza in a player of the match display. Jakob Radas got in on the act as well hammering in what was the seventh goal in a half to which South Australia had no answer. The South Australians, facing a humiliating defeat, rallied superbly in the second half showing pride and passion and battling for every ball and finding the net with a sweet finish from Gian Andrade in the 22nd minute. To their immense credit South Australia refused to buckle and David Joncheff netted twice in a five minute spell close to the conclusion what was a much better showing in the second twenty minutes in which South Australia kept Metro scoreless.

Re: 2012/13 Nationals
South Australia 0 Queensland 3 (Matthew Williams 14’, Scott Fenn 26’, Giancarlo Romano 40’)
A competent performance earned Queensland a 3-0 win over South Australia to put the Maroons within touching distance of a place in the semi-finals upon their return to the National Futsal Championships. Encouraged by their second half display against NSW Metro earlier in the day South Australia looked a different outfit in this match as they took the game to Queensland in the opening stages. Therefore they could consider themselves somewhat unfortunate that they went 1-0 down to as straightforward a goal as you will see in Futsal as Maroons ‘keeper Brendan Prickett sent a long throw up the court that was flicked on by Matthew Williams over the head of Alexander Payne. South Australia hit back strongly as Haris Vuckic thudded a shot against the frame of the goal with a blistering drive whilst Payne subsequently made a super stop when it seemed inevitable that Queensland would score again. Queensland eventually made their possession tell in the second half as Giancarlo Romano fizzed in a shot that was too hot for substitute goalkeeper Cameron Rogowski to hold allowing Scott Fenn the simplest of finishes. Fenn later smashed a shot against the inside of Rogowski’s left-hand post but it mattered little as Queensland sealed the win with Romano’s last minute goal.

Looks like they are all gaining a lot of experience.......
Dan Birdwell - You have to play this game like somebody just hit your mother with a two-by-four.

Re: 2012/13 Nationals
So Adelaide Force go into their last game today having lost every game and with a goal average of -22. ACT have to win this match to qualify for finals so i'm guessing that figure wont stay at -22 for long.

with results of the Mens team and the selection of certain players rather than Adelaide Force they should be called:

Re: 2012/13 Nationals
There are a couple of SA teams that have qualified or are close to qualifying for the semi finals today. Good Luck to those teams today. The under 13 boys and under 14 girls have qualified for the semi finals. The youth men look like they are in a good position to qualify also. The under 12's have a must win game against Queensland Regional and have to rely on results. Hopefully the results come through soon and we can update everyone. Not all doom and gloom.

Re: 2012/13 Nationals
Is there a list of all players that have gone to championships???
Would be good to see the players selected to represent the state.
Btw who does Futsal SA report too??

Re: 2012/13 Nationals
Im not embarrassed of the teams, at the end of the day the coaches made selections and they are the ones who ultimately are responsible. Heard a rumour that teams trained all year....not sure which age groups, certain players according to last years coach were outstanding and this year after training all year weren't selected. Ill say it before and Ill say it again until they pick on performance and not on who plays at which club or who the coaches may be affiliated with progress will be very slow.......Congratulations to all those who went I know they must be feeling like crap right now but I am sure that they all did try their best as I am sure none of them wouldv'e enjoyed the lessons they were served up!

Looks like another successful campaign by the Open Men's SA Team at Nationals
Seriously have to ask the question, we're these the best players this state has to offer????
What a joke of a system! Other states must just laugh at us all the time.
Something has to be done, this year has been by far the worst season by an Open Men's Team from SA conceding 32 goals and scoring only 4 in 6 games.

that is an embarrassment
seriously if nothing changes and new development programs are put in place the people running (president etc) the show should be hung out to dry. and i mean serious changes and programs not just bullshit like the champions league idea they brought 2 months ago to give an illusion like they are actually doing something.

Re: 2012/13 Nationals
Exactly right, also the Champions League won't happen because I doubt the outdoor clubs will be happy with most players missing to compete in it during the season. Ever since they sent the email nothing else has come up about it, it was a rash decision.dinozoff wrote:that is an embarrassmentseriously if nothing changes and new development programs are put in place the people running (president etc) the show should be hung out to dry. and i mean serious changes and programs not just bullshit like the champions league idea they brought 2 months ago to give an illusion like they are actually doing something.

I wonder if tony lascala looks back to when the Australian national teams Futsal coach gave him some pointers after the tournament 2-3 years ago and feels like a right twat calling him an idiot after he walked off cause he thought he knew better.

Re: 2012/13 Nationals
Yes bandito, you are correct, some boys did train all year long, were told they were absolutely outstanding last year, however were not selected. Mind you coach was not the same this year however, nothing against players selected........but how can they ask a lad to train all year round who has performed outstandingly and then not pick him......dont know!!!!!! Does loyalty and performance not count for anthing anymore.........makes you wonder what does!!!!

Re: 2012/13 Nationals
Hey guys,
In all fairness to the men's team.
No coach or player goes over to Nationals to loose,
Sometimes you have to do your best with the players available.
As a coach etc, for many years with Futsal Sa, can tell ya that ,
You can hand pick the best possible players from the state.
But many issue's come into it. ( as some people know first hand )
Outdoor soccer commitments, work & money are the main concerns.
I do know first hand, selected a great squad that would have been very competitive,
As from the previous year made the semis at under16 level.
Had 30 players ( good players ) out for trials,
Then over the 3 weeks , selected the squad with assistance of the coach above & below.
Due to circumstances beyond my control, lost 6 of the squad selected,
So hey guys, don't rubbish people unless you actually know the full details.
I too could pick the best 10 players I have seen play over the last 2 years, are they available at the time ?
For Futsal to move forward in SA, all parties need to band together, not bag eachother, as it does more harm than good.
Well done to all that competed at the Nationals.![Smile :-)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
