PAO are the best Greek european team based on what reaching a final over 30years ago. Im not saying my club is the best in europe but come off it mate.

we have been the most consistent team over the years... we have qualified to 2nd stage and qtrs more than any other team.

more non greeks know of panathinaikos than they do olympiacos and aek, and when they hear of OSFP's dominance domestically, they buzz out!!!!

youre right, we havnt won sh*t. but our euro performances are usually beteter than those of other greek teams.

2006/07 - UEFA Cup, kai me to zori you qualified against Ukranian part-time farmers!
2005/06 - Bottom of the group!! Copping 16 goals along the way.
2004/05 - 3rd in CL -> UEFA Cup, lost in round of 32 (thats the round all the CL teams join the UEFA Cup)
2003/04 - 3rd in CL, 8 points off 2nd -> UEFA Cup, lost in round of 32
2002/03 - No CL mate. UEFA Cup, Did something! Lost to Porto (winners) in the Q/Fs

IM IMPRESSED!!

Not saying AEKs or Olympiakos' record lately is any better. Just pointing out that bragging rights arent justified.

arxidi has a right to say what he is saying bout pao in europe, far above olympiakos and my beloved aek.

olympiakos have always been chokers in europe but hopefully can change one day because it will be good for greek football.

Pao have been a great european side, but not in the last few years, this year are doing very well and hopefully this continues, hopefully they can make it to the qf, sf and maybe even the final. Again this needs to be done so greek football can become stronger.

As for AEK, they have exceeded expectation this year which is excellent, when the draw was done, people said aek will have to hope to get points off anderlecht and lille at home, heavy losses to milan home and away, but we proved that wrong. If AEK can keep a cool head then knock out stages here we come. we cannot expect milan to beat lille at home,

Instead of us fighting who is the better team in europe we should all be one to make greek football stronger and better.

ARXIDI & KOP - dont get too excited guys. Yes a great win by AEK over Milan and especially because the beaton team are an Italian side. BUT PAO have the BEST record for Greek clubs in Europe over the years. AEK are 2nd best. Wont comment on the stinky fish from Piraeus. Will I Olympipiakos with your smart comment your guys got done again last night 0-2 and look certain to play no further part in any European competition this season. Zito PAO & AEK

Or any level for that matter... Greece has played 3 world cup games (USA94) and lost them all if i remember correctly..

- There were 6minutes away from making the semis a few years ago (Conte bagging the winner in the 86th).
- And it took probably one of the most important goals in Liverpool's history, Gerrards rasping drive in the 87th minute to be knocked out in 04/05. Liverpool progressed 3-2 on head to head goal diff and went on to win it.

As crap as we have been,
- This season we have one foot in the knockout stages.

All of the above is more than what PAO have achieved in the last 5-7 years.

But the most emphatic point i would like to make, no team can have the bragging rights. We are all average.
