[quote="terminator"]Knight VS Elizabeth Downs

Downs have 5 out with Lindsay brothers in the snow this weekend and a couple of others plus Trimboli still not available - even so Downs will win - not by how much in the cup just winning is enough

5 players out? Yes the downs are a very good team, however, thats almost half a team unavailable. Wouldn't write the Knights off just yet....

We've still got the shit-refinery.....(I mean sewerage treatment site) right next door.....they water the pitch with recycled water from there :shock:
Bring a few dinghies on the bus and you can head down to the boat ramp and catch some fish for your evening tea.

If it's Guinness you are after Geezer then you may want to stick around and watch the Fossils as our kind sponsor has offered a considerable incentive if we manage to at least get a point off the Vale on Sunday!

The Downs are certainly taking their cup tie seriously. Whilst there are a few key forced omissions I hear there may be some surprise inclusions. A call out has been made to the few old Downs boys with previous experience (from days long gone) at the tricky O'Sullivans Beach venue - watch out for Robyn & Keith Bodycomb, Colin Smith, Steve Brooks, and Doug Carey making an impact off the bench.

Which Colin Smith...there were three of them....what about Paul Hudson, Ray Revell, Fred Rogers and Tony Partridge etc. etc. etc. ?

I'm registered with Southern Knights for extreme emergencies !
However, funny you should mention it......I asked the coach to have me on the bench....if the game was sewn up for either side....he could bring me on for a cameo. 8)
I think it might be too close for that !

Southern Knights 5 - 0 Downs.
10 minutes to go and Swanny comes on for cameo.
Downs go through to the semis 5 - 6 :D :D

Did you see the game? It was far from an easy win, I thought the better team lost.

Would love to hear what the gardens supporters thought about the penalty that wasn't given late on in the 2nd half. Looked clear cut with my biased eyes.
