Agree with you, every orginisation needs change and new idea's.
So are these two on contract for a set time or do they have the job until they quit or get sacked.
Still wont sovle the Ref problem in the short term.
The goalkeeper is the jewel in the crown and getting at him should be almost impossible. It's the biggest sin in football to make him do any work.

M cream was forced to leave cos of a legal matter (which was later dismissed), this left a void within the FFSA. Around the same time a whole heap of Ref's jumped ship to the Amateur League which were offering higher match payments. Leaving the FFSA short with appropriately qualified Senior referee's. The FFSA have appointed N Magill to run the Referee's, he is from interstate so it would time to find his feet geographically. IMO I think he is doing a good job of recruting/training and encouraging the younger ones to take it up. Have you not seen the number of recruitment posts and articles on the FFSA website? This should tell you that they are short, so every single game won't be covered.

I know what happened, not worth talking about on here though. M Cream was a great coach and mentor to younger referees so his loss was a big loss on the development side of things. I know quite a few younger referees have jumped off the ship over the past couple years for various reasons
