I wasn't there but I understand a GK error won it for the B's but as for the A's, I'm sure I'll hear about it at training this week.....Sacred Noodle wrote:Sat Div 3

Great performance by OISC. Completely outplayed Stirling. A nervy last couple of minutes after an OISC player got a second yellow for kicking the ball away, but can't think of too many Stirling shots that troubled our #1. Highlight was the goal with a backheel flick (not really backheel, think Gianfranco Zola flick), and an OISC player appealing for a free-kick, not getting it, and bowing to the crowd for his theatrical performance.OISC wrote:SAT PREMIER - Round 2 - Final Result

A v Stirling 1:0
OISC Goal: C.Gauro
A very fair result. A couple of defensive blunders by OISC, but generally a good performance. Wasted a few chances in front of goal, but a couple of very nice finishes.OISC wrote:B v Stirling 3:2
OISC Goals: M.Gauro; A.Rossi; T.Smith
Great performance by OISC to get the draw. It was a very unbalanced game. Stirling should've been 3-0 up at half time, but only went in 1-0 up. OISC got a lucky break when a Stirling player handled the ball in the box. Stirling pressed for the remainder of the game, hitting the woodwork a couple of times, but some great goalkeeping from the OISC #1 kept us in it to remain undefeated from the first two games.OISC wrote:SAT DIV 6 - Round 2 - Final Result

I am pretty shocked with the Stirling v Iggies result. I couldn't think of a tougher day to get a result up there than a wet day like saturday was.
Thanks to Wanderers for the 3 points on saturday and for drinking our eskies dry!

great game, Hawks attacked and deserved to go in the lead after Villa had a player sent off.
Villa equalised from a dubious free kick at the end.
Villa went up 2-0, then a dubious free kick to Hawks let them score 1 goal
Ref was pathetic to say the least, bioth teams left bemused at times with some of the decisions.
Draw = fair result

What's happening at Villa? I know they are generally slow starters to seasons but they got pumped 4-0 last week and by all reports they were fortunate to draw with one of the promoted sides.

Keeper doesn’t make save opposition score ... that’s how goals are scored isn’t it?
..ACU are a good group of guys though so all the best for next week and the season

disagree.
SPOC totally outplayed us, but we did have a golden chance to go 1-1 after half time break.
Spoc countered and scored a freakish own goal
this week, Villa were in cruise control 2-0 up inside 25mins.
The ref awarded a dubious free kick to Hawks, who scored.
Villa were comfortable at 2-1 after the break, but as soon as the dubious Red card came, Hawks to their credit attacked and got their equaliser and lead.
Another dubious free kick awarded to Villa this time in stoppage time earnt the shared points!
also credit to Hawks, they look like a genuine team this year, theri attack looks very damaging and will cause some upsets....
Also, 5 starting players were missing in week 1; Derosa, Calella, Faraone, Tassone and Lucas
Injuries to Della Verde etc
Totally new defence this year
agaisnt the hawks, only Lucas and Callela started, Della came on, but still injured
Musci was absent, Derosa injured, Tassone couple of weeks away, Faraone not match fit.........

Re: Sat results 21/4/12
MA Hawks midfield is as good as any going around in the entire amateur league and Danny Christison is probably the best Goalkeeper going around at the moment.
When we played them the game would have been a lot more closer but for him.

Re: Sat results 21/4/12
Bit surprised that Stirling's League and reserve teams aren't doing that great. Last year they were quite strong. As for the MA hawks, we played there reserves in the cup and they were quite strong, one of those grind it out matches.
