Re: Cup Competition 2012
"nowhere near any clubs"
Munno Para, Metro, Para HIlls Utd, Salisbury Inter and Pirates probably don't mind the location so much- (half of the teams playing in the scheduled rounds) The Burton pitches are also much nicer than many of their home grounds with good change rooms. 6PM kick off is a bit inconvenient, but if you look FFSA has tried to schedule the more local teams in the earlier time slots.
I figure FFSA can't win. The facility was built and if they use it, people complain about the location. If they don't use it then people would complain that it was a waste of money because it's underused. There's always something to whinge about.
With the new money going into the facilities and pitches at West Beach, FFSA will soon have some more options in terms of scheduling venues.

Fulham, Metro (they're on a bit of a roll at the moment IMO), PHU, Adelaide Uni.

I heard Fulham and Metro won the first games tonight.
Anyone confirm, with scores?

Metro 3 Vs City 0
Fulham won dont know the score.

The goalkeeper is the jewel in the crown and getting at him should be almost impossible. It's the biggest sin in football to make him do any work.

Fulham 7 Munno Para 0
Fulham are a well drilled side who move the ball well on the deck. Score line isn't too bad when you consider that MP were in div 5 three years ago. Hopefully they take on board some of the strengths that Fulham showed and learn from the experience.

Re: Cup Competition 2012
Representatives of all four clubs were at the draw as per email from FFSA below;
My tip is Uni to beat PHU, but despite the recent result between Fulham & Metro that game will be harder to call - Metro probably the favourites to win (on recent form etc) but I am going to tip Fulham for the win.The Adelaide Airport Cup Semi Finals draw was conducted on Tuesday 31 July 2012 at the FFSA Offices in front of club representatives Efrosini Karzis (Fulham United), Kevin Holohan (Adelaide University), Garrie Walker (Para Hills United) and Aaron Kaselouris (MUWFC Magic).

Lol, calm it down juniorsupporter, it was just so soon after the quarter finals, there's no accusation here for fixed draws.juniorsupporter wrote:Oh please, here we go again.
