Chelsea to tempt Bolton into Cahill sale by offering McEachran on loan

Chelsea are prepared to loan Josh McEachran to Bolton as a sweetener in an £7mllion deal for defender Gary Cahill.

The Trotters defender is expected to be sold in January with his contract due to expire in the summer, and the Blues have jumped to the front of the queue for his signature.

Andre Villas-Boas wants to pair Cahill with his England partner John Terry at the heart of the Chelsea defence.

Since he's effectively out of contract, it's totally irrelevant what Bolton want, it's entirely up to the player where he goes and Bolton will just have to take what's offered or get bugger all in the summer. Having said that, I still think Chelsea are a front runner.

no chance. if somehow bolton dont get relegated it will be because of him. Arsenal and Chelsea look most likely to sign him. CL football, better players, and he is already proven as a top defender in EPL. Gary has all the right tools at the moment to become a world class defender. I still think arsenal will sign him.

If he's given a choice between Chelsea (who've won 3 league titles and an FA Cup in the last seven years) or Arsenal (who've won sweet FA in the last seven years), where do you think he'll go. Goons not a chance.

I wonder how a lack of Champions league for either Manchester team will effect their transfers. Surely it has to give Arsenal and Chelsea a bit more buying power at least for this window.

If any decent players are made available in this window (which is unlikely tbh) then there's a fair chance they'll have already played in CL and will be cup-tied anyway. The only ones that will be sold are those who are out of contract in the summer (Cahill etc) unless absolutely stupid money is offered and both Manc clubs can afford that if necessary.

He’s not exactly sh|thouse but he’s no world beater either. Maybe you give him the benefit of the doubt cos he’s playing with such average players around him, but some of his direct errors leading to goals have been comical and schoolboy stuff. Not an instant answer to anyone’s central defence.
If we’re talking centre backs from relegation fodder, Samba is by far the best and at still only 27 has his best years ahead of him.

Cahill has an English premium attached to him, if he was any other nationality the hype would be a fraction of what it is.

On those means, by courage of my convictions, please fight to the death with Chavs to take him!!

cahill is only 25. Even tho Arsenal havent won anything recently they are stil a massive club and lets face it, are far in front of Chelsea in terms of developing players, Chelsea buy theirs! Cahill can evolve under wenger rather and challenge for regular starting berths rather than sink to the bench after one possible bad game and rot at chelsea.

A perfect summary of why Arsenal over Chelsea, just think of some of the names that have hindered their careers buy pulling on a blues kit. . . .

look what Phil Jones has done this year, he wasnt really a dominant defender at Blackburn and look at him now

his age and already playing for England makes Cahill first class imo. Luiz is starting to look a bit better in recent weeks, but if Alex leaves we really need a Central Defender or a right back for backup

I'd suggest we've got more chance of getting Godin. I think it all depends on if John Terry can convince him, those two are the English CB pairing after all.

maybe. i cant imagine Sahin being to impressed with the gametime he is getting, and if Gotze wanted advice im pretty sure he'd be told he wouldnt be gettin regular gametime either. either stay at Dortmund or research a more fitting high profile club. Better off going to England or Italy.

Hazard and Gotze to england at the end of the season i rekon.

mate gotze signed a long term deal and has stated he does not want to go anywhere

hazard is more probable but unlikely to happen

plus gotze has only been linked to madrid recently and they cooled interest we he stated he does not want to go there

are you that confident that you want to put a bet on it?

ps my iq would definately be higher than yours

long term deals mean little, yea he'll be contracted at dortmund for a few more years to come, but it dont mean a club, (Arsenal, Real, Chelsea to name a few) will buy them out, just means Dortmund will recieve a transfer fee rather than lose him on a free. The kid shows a little bit of loyalty (like fabregas, torres etc) but it wont last, he'll be wanting to play for something bigger and lets face it, he wont better his game staying at Dortmund.

As for Hazard, Lille wont go back to back this year, I think Hazard will look to get out to something bigger, as he is capable.

Pss no your IQ is definatly lower than mine

something bigger? ok stadium, supporters and season ticket holders at dortmund are all bigger than any club in england

they won the title with a very young squad and are up there again, best young coach and squad in europe and that will be shown in a year or 2, klopp has stated he wants this squad to stay together, sahin only left due a clause they had to put in when under financial strain, which they are not now, gotze will go nowhere

ps i know how the transfer market works muppet

lol @ u chump.

Better league, better teams, higher quality in EPL. Gotze may not move this summer but he will move. Money will call. why defend something that is inevitable?? BIGGER teams (yes thats right DOC, bigger teams than dortmund) will pick Klopp's best players one by one. While Kehl, Weidenfeller, Lewandowski will more than likely stay... Hummels, Subotic, Barrios, Gotze, Kagawa will leave over the next couple of years. Noones immune, happens to alot of up and coming clubs.

hazard is going for sure end of season:
Last updated at 10:24 AM on 31st October 2011

Eden Hazard is set to start a Premier League scramble for his signature after confirming he will leave Lille at the end of the season.

Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester rivals City and United have been monitoring Hazard while Inter Milan, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also known admirers.

'I am ready to go to the next level at a big club,' Hazard told French newspaper L'Equipe.

'I won't leave in January. It would be silly to do so. But it's my last season at Lille.

'I stayed with Lille this year because I still had things to work on and prove. But now I'm ready. I feel able to play in another country.'

Manchester City's football development executive Patrick Vieira has been sent to watch Hazard while Lille academy coach Jean-Michel Vandamme says Chelsea have shown the most interest of the English teams.

Lille will demand at least £40million for the 20-year-old attacking midfielder and big-spending Paris St Germain are lining up a huge bid.

But the Belgium international ruled out a move to the French capital, saying: 'Paris is not for now. After France, I want to go abroad.

'I do not want to go to a rival of Lille's in France. It would be inconsistent. The fans would not understand.'

Hazard signed for Lille from Tubize in 2005 and burst on to the scene as a 16-year-old just two years later.
As for gotze, Sahin leaving shows everyone has their price.
