I saw what happened after the game I don't recall seeing any physical harm to the referee but I do remember the Gardens midfielder having to restrain an individual who was getting in the referees face after the game. Yes every team gives the ref a bit of banter after the game but to storm over to the centre of the park and get in his face once the whistle has gone is stupid.

I was standing about at the halfway line when the final whistle blew, supporters from both teams were unhappy with the referees game and were letting him know verbally and loudly, cookie was pissed that brooksy had recieved a red card for a tackle that was not malicious. Soft tackles were awarded free kicks all game so I suppose at least the ref was consistently bad. Brooksy did get up the Florina supporters but he was heckled all game and was in the spirit of the game to pay back when he scored, the ref didnt see it this way and he got a yellow. Lefty escorted the ref back to the changerooms merely as a precaution and to establish some reality to the situation. At NO point was the ref man handled or acosted in any way by any supporter of either team. The game was over, the ref left, some Florina boys came in for a few drinks and we wished them all the best for the rest of the season as they did to us and you blue and white are a D.ickhead

Would like to say that blue & white - your a peanut for bringing up this topic. Especially about parafield coach. The guy doesn't say boo all game on the side lines let alone do that to the ref.
No comment on the ref, but he was there for both teams. Great person and gentleman cooke is, so blue & white, don't let me find out who you are! As for brooksy, deserved all he got. The red card was justified IMO as he had studs up into the defender's legs rather than the ball. so deserved a red. and because he is a peanut too, so deserve a 3 match ban
I can also tell you we will not get relegated, still plenty of games to go and our squad has gotten bigger and getting better.

Again, it was Nugget who implicated the coach, not Blue&White. He simply stated "an official".

Could of meant anyone from Lefty to the trainer.

Read carefully what was said and you'll see the only mention of the coach was made by Gardens people.

Not suggesting that this topic should have been posted at all but to blame Blue&White for naming the Gardens coach is wrong.

Firstly whether people believe that or not still 16 players that contribute to the season. secondly great way to make new mates at your new club with comments like that.

Now with a better team on paper across the park last year "Guess who could not win the league off his own boot - Brooksy"

The one thing that i will always remember Brooksy for was 4-3 down Cup Final, final minute of the game beautiful cross to the back post and he tucked his head in like a baby and gutted out of a header against Stam who was running backwards trying to punch it, It was Brooksy's to eat up.

No Parafield Official should be banned only Brooksy for his wonderful attitude towards the rest of the soccer community, left on great terms for his last two clubs and no doubt will leave Parafield on the same terms.

Funny thing Football Clubs, you all wouldv'e been sucking Brooksy off last year before he left when he was the League's Golden Boot with 23 Goals

The first Yellow he got was for giving a little back to the crowd which any player wouldv'e done when he assisted in the Goal it was a very soft Yellow & the second Yellow was late in the game for a clumbsy tackle, 95% of referee's would have let it go knowing he was already on a soft Yellow & it not deserving the send off.

Shaun Nelligan is a VERY BIG PART of why Gardens is where it is today, Nelly may not have played 100 Senior Games BUT if the ressies needed a player he would play, if the C's or over 35s needed a player he would play, if there was something at the club to be organised or done Nelly would do it. Im pretty sure Nelly brought on the Mawson Lakes Hotel sponsorship (as well as others) Shaun was an outstanding CLUB PERSON and most of all Chairman that got the club back on its feet and where it is today! As a passed player and Im sure others would agree Nelly is well respected around the club and the SAASL.

I dont know the dates of when he was chairman etc BUT I hope this clears everything up for you!
