A fight broke out between a few players with 10 minutes to go, not just salisbury's fault. Salisbury supporters were down the other end of the pitch, so weren't involved at all. Quite a few heated exchanges throughout the match, which started with home team being late, then reluctantly agreeing to a card check. Home linesman was a player and was not watching the game, balls went over the fence and home club didn't have replacements.rossonero wrote:i heard from people at white city the game was called off with 10 mins to go because salisbury decided to start a punch up and parents from salisbury started to threaten white city spectators to kill them....(realistically i doubt it was only the salisbury supporters and players at fault in this accident) white city was leading 2-0 and were awarded the points.
which coach out of raiders and blue eagles told the players not to shake hands....
As far as threats to family etc, didn't hear any so won't comment. I am led to believe the ref was from the home club too, which I didn't think was allowed? Pretty sure the ref shouldn't be manhandling players either. He never, at any point of the match, looked like he had control.
Score was 3-0 and White City quite rightly would be awarded points. A shame it ended that way, I for one was enjoying most of the football.
