Since he didn't stop the ball going in the net, I suspect he'd have got away with the pen and a yellow. Never ceases to amaze me how much Vidic gets away with, he's like an all-in wrestler trying to undress the striker but never gets pinged.

Yeh shoulda been a penalty to arsenal, if the assistant and ref saw it
the even up was the owen penalty, so dont say that united got all the calls in that game

I agree that it probably did, but the ref couldn't have been sure that RVP was going to reach it, unlike a striker who's already hit his shot. I think a yellow was most likely, after all, he does play for Manchester United!
