Div 6 has the 'one team' clubs with some additional 'C' teams, whilst Div 7 is all 'C' teams.

Saints, AV, Africa don't have 'C' in Div 5. My mail is Saints now have a C/D setup similar to ours, with their C/D playing in Div 4.

Really when did you hear that??

That would be good news for Div 4!!

I have to say having looked at it the 3 single team divisons (Div5,6,7) do look a little unbalanced in terms of (on paper) ability.

Doesn't look finalised.

Div 6 CCMU don't play at home, and Cove/Strathablyn appear haphazardly.

My mail confirms this.

Can someone explain Div 7 to me????

Why have an extra div when div 4 and 5 seem to be struggling for numbers.

Also there are sides that have not been listed in the C's div's.

I hope that Div 4 doesn't turn into a one team division where the reserves are forced to play Div 6 or 7. For clubs like ours we need our firsts and reserves to play together at home to gather any community interest and raise any money.

IMO It's all about the number of clubs who this year have enough players for three teams A+B+C. but not enough players to field two A+B teams.
With Div 4 being the lowest division which requires an A+B teams. The only option for these teams was to nominate for Div 5 and 6.
Div 5 (last couple of seasons) being for C teams of teams in Div 1 and 2
Div 6 (last couple of seasons) being for C teams of teams in Div 3 and 4

What seems to have happened is an influx of teams wanting to field a C team, and thus the creation of Div 7.

The inclusion of teams from Sunday and or new teams with out an A+B side e.g. One tree hill, has somewhat complicated things. I would have thought the place for these teams was in Div 7.

The other problem as I see it is that all the clubs who have an A+B team want there C team to play on the same day at the same place, thus making it harder to schedule all of these different teams.

Div 4 needs more teams but can't get them as it needs more A+B teams and Div 5 gets restricted by the number of Div 1 and 2 sides with the ability to field a C team. It would be unfair on a team in Div 4 for example to have to have their C players play against a Div 1 C team. Logic would suggest that the standard of the players would vary considerably.

Thus a situation where Div 4 and 5 are light on, whilst creating a Div 7.

Thanks for that, most I understood prior.

The thing I am getting at why not just have good numbers in div 5 and 6....Why the need for 7.

Unless this is the div they have allocated for the talked about 35+ sides.

This would not work for most of the clubs in Div 4, as they would be in a similar situation!

Last year Div 1 c's played in div 5 and Div 2 c's played in div 6.

We had two c sides last year (numbers looking like it will be the same this year) but wouldn't be able to do it as a c & d in div 4.

The reason being is there are a lot of the more mature gentlemen that make up the second side and they need to follow the A & B's to make the home games run correctly.

Div 5 this year is for the Division 1 "C" sides (hence atm only 7 teams).

Div 6 appears to be the 'one club' and the 'over 35' division (7 teams) + three 'extra' 'C' sides (the three biggest Saturday clubs).

Div 7 has six Division 2 "C" sides, the three Division 3 "C" sides, and the second Stirling team.

Notice neither of the two Vipers "C" sides have been placed, interestingly.

Ironically it was your club's 3:00pm kick offs last season that didn't allow other clubs C teams go to watch their A's.
Somebody one asked if I could spare some change for gas, I could really get away from this place.
I said yep, what a concept! I could use a little fuel myself and we could all use a little change.

Fair call. In our defence though, we only have one pitch and have several juniors grades within the Adelaide Hills Junior Soccer Association and couldn't make them play in the afternoon.

We did only play our home fixtures at 3pm, which means each club only missed one weekend of seeing their A's and B's play. That is only if the League fixtures lined up.

Biting is one thing I have yet to see him do. And I have tried many times!! ... Baiting, on the other hand, could be considered an art the man has mastered!

It was me biting. Thought that much was obvious! I know what he's doing, I'm not that slow.

Heard he scored for Saints today, well in.
