Carrick went in as badly as Gerrard. Carrick came off worse.

Happy to agree on the red but the penalty decision was bad. That's the fourth penalty Webb has given Utd in his last 6 visits to OT  give him an MBE

Nice to see Aurelios return to form too! I want me my Insua back.

Although I'm not sure if Daglish is going to save Liverpool, why is everyone ripping into him and Liverpool? It took Manchester a penalty to put one past Pool, you couldn't do it in free play. More to add even with Pool having ten men, you couldn't put another away. A 1-0 loss is not a bad start considering:

- Pool's recent form
- It was played at Old Trafford
- Team moral
- Howard Webb

But it's ok. Soon, you will face Tottenham, and you will be crushed

Okay, having read Berbatov's comments, I've changed my mind.

"People who know me know that I don't go down easily so I think it was a fair decision."

He did his best to stay on his feet, fair play to the lad.

red card - yes
penalty - no

XI on the park think we would have snuck an equaliser. the style of play in that ~30 was much better than under Roy. Losing SG & Torres went back to having no support.

sour grapes mate

if evans header went in just before half time, then you blokes woulda lost 5 nil
but a 5nil loss is as bad as a 1 nil loss, cause either way your still outta the fkn cup

You beat us 1-0 through a penalty that wasn't and couldn't break through in 60 minutes with an extra man. But we would have lost 5-0? Ahh, United 'supporters', never a dull moment.

Where did I say you didn't?

You 'don't care how much you beat us by', yet you go off a rant about how it would have been five had Evans scored. If you don't care, why bring it up?

It was September 2002 when Sir Alex Ferguson delivered what is probably – behind that epic night in Barcelona when "football, bloody hell" became a part of our football lives – the most instantly recognisable quote of his time as Manchester United's manager.

His team were going through one of those spells when it felt as though the roof at Old Trafford could tumble in. They had finished the previous season 10 points behind Arsenal and barely a month into the new campaign they were six points down on Arsène Wenger's side. Alan Hansen, the man who once said you don't win anything with kids, had described Ferguson's position as "the greatest challenge of his career".

The response was delivered like a cobra strike, quick and brutal. "My greatest challenge was knocking Liverpool right off their fucckkiing perch," Ferguson said. "And you can print that."

Yes, which is discussing the possibility of a higher scoreline. But you don't care about that..So we're talking about this why?

Carrick went in to pass the ball with the side of his foot. Gerrard went in with studs and two feet off the ground. Clearly the same.

Soft contact on Berba to put him off balance. Don't think it was a penalty but will take it.

Personally would have liked a replay so that Liverpool can lose at Anfield.

Agger is shit.
