Re: Last day of the transfer window
that's a good question. I've found this list which has the dates for most continents but not AsiaBADA BING wrote:so does that mean that Eugene stays with United for now or is the A-League window different?

Are the Transfer periods same for all countries?
No, all countries and continents have different length span for a transfer season. This is mainly due to the football leagues of all the continents do not take place at the same time of the years.

o Winter Transfer (1 January - 2 February)
• USA & Canada
o Summer Transfer (15 July - 14 August)
o Winter Transfer (15 January - 15 April)
• Sweden
o Summer Transfer (1 July - 31 July)
o Winter Transfer (1 January - 31 March)
• Norway
o Summer Transfer (1 August - 31 August)
o Winter Transfer (1 January - 31 March)
• Finland

Re: Last day of the transfer window
Spurs turned him down when he was 23 so if he wasn't good enough then, he won't be any better now he's 6 years slower. Probably outrun Carra though.10 wrote:i know, and until the americans are out i don't see things changingScudetto8687 wrote:Is this what Liverpool have been reduced to now - Konchesky!!!! ma come on!!10 wrote: Konchesky has been on his way for the last few weeks

Re: Last day of the transfer window
Spurs sign Van Der Vaart for £8m, his deal to Bayern for £18m fell through with 2 hours to go and Spurs pounced and got him on the cheap, however, the Premier League are making sure that everything is clear because apparently the paperwork didn't come through before the deadline, rumour is Tottenham are claiming technical difficulties for the possible delay. Lets hope the Premier League shows us the same leniancy as they did with Arshavin when he went to Arsenal!!

Premier League assesses Van der Vaart transfer to Spurs
Tottenham are expected to find out on Wednesday whether the Premier League will ratify their deal to sign midfielder Rafael Van der Vaart.
Spurs moved to sign the 27-year-old from Real Madrid only two hours before the transfer window closed at 1800 BST.
The Premier League is now looking into whether the deal was done in time and may speak to the two clubs involved.
"When I came on Tuesday morning it wasn't something I was looking to do," said Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp.
"It was a last-minute job.
"I think he was going to Bayern Munich on Monday for £18m and suddenly he became much cheaper.
"They let me know around 1600 BST that he was available for £8m and, for that money, he is a top player who will definitely improve us. The fee has come crashing down because the deadline is so close.
"He's a great passer of the ball, he's a top footballer, he will join in here and be a big plus."
The Premier League has to establish if the deal was done in advance of the deadline and, if so, should give it the green light which will be somewhat of a bargain signing for Spurs.
Van der Vaart helped his country reach the final of the 2010 World Cup and made his reputation as a playmaker at Ajax before switching to German side Hamburg.
He spent three seasons at the Bundesliga club before moving to Real Madrid in August 2008 where he appears to have become surplus to requirements as their new manager Jose Mourinho stamps his authority on the club.
With Spurs qualifying for the group stages of the Champions League, Van der Vaart will add experience and creativity to Redknapp's attack as they also challenge on the Premier League front.
Redknapp also confirmed he had made an enquiry about Liverpool winger Ryan Babel but "never came close" to landing him.

Re: Last day of the transfer window
completely different, weather that completely shut down transport lead to the transfer window being extended for all clubsSpursOnTheRise wrote:Spurs sign Van Der Vaart for £8m, his deal to Bayern for £18m fell through with 2 hours to go and Spurs pounced and got him on the cheap, however, the Premier League are making sure that everything is clear because apparently the paperwork didn't come through before the deadline, rumour is Tottenham are claiming technical difficulties for the possible delay. "technical difficulties" sounds a hell of a lot like a dodgy excuse, and it wouldn't be fair to other clubs who had to have all their transfer dealings done by the deadline
Re: Last day of the transfer window
I think they [Spurs] are clutching at straws, but having said that I'd like to see him play in the EPL. Would definately add to their squad and may make the league a little closer.

Re: Last day of the transfer window
Any of you Liverpool lads know much of Nabil El Zahr? Apparently we've agreed on a loan deal with an option to make the move permanent after seasons end.
