Dont think you understand the concept Robbo its a pre AGM get together to discuss issues important to SAASL clubs, so we can go as a united body to the AGM with a plan and a set agenda for disscusion, pointless having SAASL rep there. Mr Carter if you wish to talk and present a proposition please do so through the SAASL.

We are quite happy, to provide the location at FFSA headquarters, with all food and beverages provided if you wish.

Marooned, do you represent the Amateur Council of Clubs and if so what position do you hold?

No one holds a position as yet Mr Carter but as an instigator of this concept as well as my colleague Lefty we would be prepared to take on positions if necessary. We are pro Amateur League and these meeting are for the benefit of the SAASL and clubs within.

We would provide a club like yours, if you where to come across with referees for all 5 teams, every week and would address and support the issues with your ground to the local council.

All at a hefty price one would assume.

Good work to all involved in this, there are definatley issues that need consideration (most have been put forth in this thread) and the theory behind it is solid. A united voice presenting to the SAASL has much more pulling power than one club asking for things to get done individually.

Dear Mr. Carter
Just wondering how is it that you want to come on to this forum & backdoor the Association that your trying to get on board with? May-be it would be a good idea for the FFSA to employ a mediator to resolve your differences with our Association rather than trying to backdoor them as you tried & failed in the past. I believe 99% of Clubs & club members are happy with the SAASL & how it's run by volunteers sure there is room for improvement but they are not looking to cash grab. If I were you I would do the best thing for Football in South Australia & resign.

lefty wrote:As mentioned previously we are proposing to have the first Amateur Council of Clubs meeting for 7pm Monday 30th August at the Parafield Gardens SC clubrooms Bradman Road Parafield Gardens (supper & drinks will be provided).

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss any thoughts, issues or suggestions to help improve, promote & strengthen our competition & club relations prior to the SAASL AGM at season end.

If you would like to be involved please PM with your email address along with any specific matters you would like to discuss so that an agenda & meeting minutes can be forwarded to you.
Is this an open meeting, are my colleagues and I able to attend and give you guys a presentation?

Thanks, but No thanks Mr Carter. The SAASL does not need a presentation as follows:

PRESENTATION TO SAASL BY Mr CARTER: (AGENDA)

1: How to run a completely well run competition into the ground
2. How to increase all fees by 300%
3. How to make 50 promises to clubs then not deliver on ANY, because I can
4. How to try and get 2 senior mens leageus at war even though they never had any problems before, all for my own enjoyment, then tell each one how bad the other is
5. How not to listen to the wishes of all clubs at club meetings
6. How to get all the clubs to vote on a proposal, and tell them it will be implemented, then do my own thing anyway because i can and i dont really give a toss what the clubs think!

I'm sure this agenda could be extended, but this would be a good start for Mr Carter :clown:

Mr Carter

The Amateur Council of Clubs is an idea that was created by some club committee members and Presidents of clubs to create a group that can approach the SAASL about larger issues and areas that the clubs would like to see improvements in.

It doesn't have any authority but rather creates a voice to try and find resolutions to some of the issues we are presented with at the moment. One of those issues would be the SAASL V FFSA and it might be best if the clubs have a discussion about it first before they speak to the FFSA.

I'm sure every club will have different opinions as each club is in its own unique position and will have different needs to others.

Mr Nugget, I am only interested in meeting with senior representatives of the main clubs that have formed this Amateur Council of Clubs. I don't intend to enter from the back door, as my colleagues and I would like the opportunity to present to your council a plan and strategy for you all to go forward, and to resolve all your issues, that have been mentioned within this thread. Do you hold a position?

Mr Carter,

If your were only interested in meeting senior members of our Association & not going through the back door you would contact the SAASL direct. You have tried unsuccessfully once to undermine OUR 46YR OLD ASSOCIATION & in doing so you lost any credibility with me. By the way I'm a nobody who you have no need to speak to, & if you are the real Mr Carter with true desire to fix the farcical situation we have you should resume talks with the SAASL because they run this competition not the Clubs & they have done successfully for 46Yrs.

Mr Nugget, we do not deal with organisations, that are not aligned with the directives of the FFA. I would be happy to sit with you and explain our goals and objectives for Football in this state, and hopefully guide you and your councils of clubs in the right direction.

Mr Jay, we understand your view, but we wish to be given the opportunity to sit in your discussions, in order to inform you correctly of our situation and to address your issues then and there. We also believe that by sitting together we can all discuss where we want to see football in this state.
