Like it or lump it, swearing is a part of the modern language so unless kids under the age of about 9 are reading these Forums then I honestly don't think I am upsetting too many people. You should be more worried about the morons who come on here (and I assume from your politically correct post that you aren't one of them) and put down all the good work that people do for our children in a football sense.
And what a ridiculous statement to say there will always be football without referees, coaches and officials. That's progress is it?
Unfortunately most of what is written on here is garbage and with no or little substance so I don't take a lot of notice of most of it. The "putting down" of the referee, officials, parents and coaches though is totally out of order. That's what needs to be deleted, not one silly little expletive that has upset the Moderator. :?

Well bright spark, that ends your whole previous whinge about people coming on here and having a go at the coaches, refs etc. It was you that mentioned kids & hiding behind a user name, there's a name for that....

Like it or lump it, that's human nature and everyone is entitled to an opinion. Even if it's not the same as yours!

Shame some of this has got off topic. Im suprised that the U/11 teams have been removed, is anyone else. My lad and other youngsters couldnt trial last year as not of age but were playing well in the U/11,s as ten yr olds and now in the U/12,s as 11 yr olds but again miss out this year but missed out last year as this year was there turn ! Having seen the academy set ups in the UK at club level where boys at 6 and then especially 8-12 are doing 5-6 hrs a week and a 1000 touches of the ball im suprised we arent identifying talent earlier. Am i wrong ?

Regards,

Chris.

Spot on !!!

Just saw it with my own eyes VERY recently in Europe (not the UK), 9yo's training atleast 3-4 times a week, and you can see the difference !!!

Dont need to be 2+ hr sessions,but 1.25hr or 1.5hr sessions, perfect and FUN !!

:idea: can some one explain the point of the stic :?: who are the scouts :?: what % of players that are scouted become profesional players :?:

I agree Zeljko.
I think only 3 lads 99 born can go to trials and they cant be keepers.So even if youre playing in the U/12 comp and going well chances of being picked are slim and if youre a keeper then you have no chance.

(U12 only) Club coaches in cooperation with club officials are asked to submit a list of a maximum of;
• 10 players born 1998 (including up to 2 Goalkeepers)
• 3 players born 1999 (field players only)
o 1999 born players should be of an elite standard capable of playing at an U12 level.
These players will trial for places in 8 x U12 teams whom will compete at the championships. Further details regarding these squads will be provided at trials.
