3 in a row for UniSA this week with a 4-3 win at home to Plympton. Plympton went ahead early and scored 2 goals on the counter (if you can call it that at this level :) ). UniSA boys worked hard and rallied to be up 3-2 at half time.

The second half ebbed and flowed and UniSA took a wonderful goal to go 4-2 up and were looking comfortable with 20 to play. UniSA looked like scoring again but were unfortunate not to. Plympton made the last 5 mintues very interesting. With UniSA controlling the game the bulldogs were fortunate to get a lucky rebound from the UniSA's GK clearance for 4-3. Things got lively as there were claims of penalties and hand balls in the dying minutes but UniSA held on for the win.

Well done to the Plympton side who played with great determination all day. They definately looked the better side for periods in the game. Consistancy and focus is something UniSA will have to master in the coming weeks if they want to be championship contenders.

Again thanks to the plympton boys, look forward to the return fixture.

Brahma 3 - Athelstone 0

Ref let most go for both sides. Brahma were 2 nil up at half time... Poor defending and a lack of man marking cost us a little. Brahma's third was a toe poke at the back post late in the match. We didnt really create too much in our attacking half.

You guys played well, if you keep it up you will definitely rattle some of the top sides.

Munno Para started well in the first 10mins, playing possesion style football. Beograd scored a quick goal from a free kick for offside.

Unfortunately for MP, our keeper was off with a crook back so had to put our defender in goals, which didn't help our formation we would prefer to play.

I did my hammy in the first 5mins of the second half, ending my game. :(

Luckily it wasn't that bad - I even got to run the line without more injury so hopefully can make it back into the team this week.

Nice to meet Beograd General, he stuck by his promise of beers for his boys. If the bar was open we would have bought a few, but had to settle for the Bottle-O on the way back north.

See you guys on the return leg.

jean Claude - great to finally meet :)

your keeper had made some fantastic saves and was definately one of the best on ground for you guys.

That is by far the best we played, so hopefully we can keep it up... but consistency has never been our strong points.

Yeah apologies about the bar and the later start time. It tends not to be manned if only one Amateur team is playing at home.

Hope your hammy comes up ok mate!

Both teams definately had chances, and it was a pretty competitive game.

He plays better when he is on the park! He did make some great saves though. Unlucky with the last goal of the day. Im sure he will log in later on for say.

The later time suited me IMO, gave me time to wake up, take my time driving to Seaton etc.

Wish all games started no earlier than 12pm.

I got told on Saturday that it was changed to 12pm.

We were unlucky to get a second, but as you said, your keeper played a blinder of a game.

Your last goal was definitely onside. I should know, I was the linesman  :(

I wasn't at the game due to injury, from what the boys said they are young & like to run.

RFC might elaborate more later.

To beograd general about uni sa. yes they were resonably quick. Not hard to be quicker than us though. Three or four majour play makers in the centre of park which control the play. Keeper was very green. if its the same fella just pepper the goal from 20-30 yards. your lot will be all over them with your size. if its the same teams we played against i would put my dollars on you guys. have fun

thanks for that Jea Claude and RFC

Hopefully we can play to our strengths, and nullify their running game

Glad to hear that their keeper is a bit green... as you said we dont mind going long from outside, but hopefully our buig guys can capitalise by using their strength
