Lets take it from the top:

- I don't recall ever saying the Pumas first team didnt deserve to win any game against us
- I made one comment about the ref in the very first game and nothing further
- We got promoted becuase Simba left the league (or so we're told) and some team good booted from div 3, hence the 4th placed team in div4 went up, has anyone from our club at any time bragged or gloated about getting promoted by default?

I'll be suprised if he doesn't come up with plenty but bottom line is a bloke from Falcons complaining about a ref

The only worse club ref we got last year was simba, and that's not a compliment.

We had a proper ref for our home ressies game last week and I think the committee will try and make that a permanent thing, plus our club ref now coaches the ressies so one was required anyway...

and the OISC ref (one of my old school teachers) came in at 3rd, didnt give us a sniff but he didnt completely cheat the away team like Simba and ACU

i think the pumas ref was the only one to give more to the opposition then the home team, even allowed hawksey to push the keeper out the way and score a goal lol

2 best ref's last year were pumas and straph. Didn't our ref give you a penalty last year? I remember he turned you down for 2 pens, one he played advantage for and you scored 5 seconds later. Or am I thinking of a different game.

I would have put adelaide uni and murray bridge well above him for the cheating stakes, but then I am biased.

Indeed. I seem to remember you getting sent off for kicking someone behind play a couple of years ago in a match against Adelaide Uni. :P

Pumas played at Collins once last year and 4-1 I think it was.

What decision(s) did the ref make that was bias against you?

I'm not being a smartarse I really don't remember.......

i cant specify the exact incidents that occured but the ref pretty much gave ACU every free kick that they appealed for, also you couldnt even speak to the guy and ask for any reasoning about a decision no matter how calm you were about the situation

it didnt really matter because we were always going to win that game, no matter how much help you got

i think the penalty was a bit dodgy as well but i guess if any physical contact against a 15yr old who weighs 40kg would result in them falling over, i dont think some of those kids should of been playing in the league

Well let me confirm that the ref your talking about is gone, our other ref coaches the ressies now.

In regards to the age, our squad has 5 players in the 15-17 bracket, only 2 of them get regular game time becuase they in the eyes of the SENIOR coach have the ability to play, the rest are covers that only play if we're short like last weekend.

Unfortunately as a community side (and this is something i don't agree with) anyone over the age of 15 who wants to play can if selected regardless of whether they can handle amatuer league or not.

The penalty you were referring to was 50/50 in my opinion, ive seen refs go both ways when the play doesnt go to ground after bring tripped but you cant honestly say your defender got anywhere near the ball....

a lot of kids that age would have the skill to compete i just think the chance of getting hurt is a lot higher when you are quite a lot smaller then the other players

well we are coming down to the falcons in a few weeks, should be my first game of the season

Yeah I know but the two that play regularly are quick enough to run round players and avoid the jostle most of the time.

I did my ankle 20mins into the Hahndorf game in round 1, if I'm not back for the cup game next week I'll be ready for your mob and no excuses this time as we should be full strength :D

ok nice

we lost our 30goal striker this season but we should be at full strength especially as we are out of the cup in both first team and reserves

You guys played USC Lion in round one, scorelines aside how do you rate their ressies as a team?

Curious to know as we're playing them tonight...

Will do, we conceeded one last week from a corner with one guy unmarked at the back post 6 yards out so we spent some time this week tightening our marking from corners, throwins and attacking free-kicks

Makes sense.

Whats funny is that our game was moved to Friday night due to pitch clash or something on Saturday but when we drove to the footy via Military Rd, league HQ was empty at 12:55pm......
