A lot of away wins.

I think we gained as many as we lost nearly.

The difference this year I reckon is our squad is more committed and both teams especially the reserves have found a formation that works...that's all

Technically Div 3 as thats what they played last season. If you had an official ref for the games, you woul have only been charged Div 3 rates, during the trials.

A hattrick!

........ BOSA players want to congratulate Iggies for their "linesman" program. Linesman are tough to find in the first instance hence bring kids up the ranks is a great idea - promotes your club too I would expect.

Kids were fair and knew the rules............... plus it prevents the players from going off at the linesman.

Well done guys.

Think about it,
It takes a big man to have a go at a kid.....

And,

There may be a parent on or near the pitch that would stick up for the kid

And,

That parent maybe bigger and more agro than the abussive player

Abuse is a "spur of the moment" thing....most of the protagonists don't think to start with !
Just a bit worried about putting younger people in these situations.
Everything is fine until someone thinks they have made an incorrect decision !

Vista looked like a well drilled side although in our defense this is our first trial game while have had 2 already and it clearly you can tell.

Thanks hatzipp. It went well yesterday, both boys had alot of fun and both parents were pleased.

Today,

OISC D/E select 10 - 1 Athelstone Cs
OISC E 5 - 1 Athelstone Over 35s

Bit disappointing today, half of our selected Ds and Es side didn't rock up or let the coach know they weren't playing, so we had 6 or 7 of the Es backup and play with the Ds. Only 4 of our Ds championship side from last year played (with one "ring-in" from the Bs to make up the numbers), and lot of the Es guys that played were young kids new to the club.

Well in to Athelstone for never giving up, obviously a few of the guys were still learning the game. Our Cs and Ds got hammered in a similar manner in 2008, and alot of them are streets ahead of where they were then. It takes time and patience for guys to learn the skills, positioning etc - persist and it will come.

I thought it was 1-0 in the seniors. Well at least that was what an ACU official told me.

Also heard that the Hawks were missing a few. Didnt have a chance to speak to the "hierarchy" last night.

Also

Seniors: Navarino 5 - Cougars 4

Reserves: Cougars 4 - Navarino 1

Both games were played in good spirits. Good performance I thought for us in the seniors, we were 5-2 up with about 10 to go and we copped two soft goals at the end. We only had the one sub in the seniors too!

All in all a good first hit-out.

Fuck I am sore!!!

Good luck to Cougars, will definitely cause some headaches this year and they have picked up some very good players.

Keeper pulled off a few good saves but towards the end wasn't given a lot of support. Hawkesy missed a few sitters too

I was rubbish today, only scoring 5 was VERY disappointing.

Munno Para C's 1 - 3 Elizabeth Vale C's

Good game, played in good spirits as you would expect for a C grade pre-season game. Thanks to MPCSC for putting a team together on short notice.

Shoulda been 7 or 8 nil to The Vale... Someone missed two 1-on-1's  and we put one over from 4 yards out aswell... a couple of other good chances wasted with some typical 'C' grade finishing. Good start for our Cs considering we only got 1 win last season.
