james milner does a pretty good job for villa without getting much attention

not sure some people are quite grasping what underated actually means. it means players who play regular football, do massive efforts for their side but dont get recognised for it.

not players who are pretty much reserves who play one decent game or score a goal and people label them underrated, or or players who dont play enough to even be rated.

hate to say it, but there are a few from purs who go unnoticed, pool, west ham, bolton, blackburn who go unoticed. you dont have to win to be underated. look where united picked Van Der Sar from...

Pepe Reina.
Huge effort, real passion, consistently great performances and yet most of those outside of Liverpool fans laugh when we say he's one of the best in the world. IMO he's the best 'keeper in the EPL, but not many other fans recognise that.

Ok then, what about Xavi? Pretty much wins the Euro with Iniesta, and everything else with Barcelona, probably the best passer in the world but goes relatively unnoticed to the likes of Messi and Iniesta.
