i kno you dont have to win titles to be the best keeper but what about the efforts from Van Der Sar, Cesar, Valdes, all title winning GK's. like i saidyou dont have to win titles be be the best but when you thin about it, those efforts to win silverware sure does make a statement to claim that spot.

cause look where casilas and buffon have gotten their respective teams... world class but havent done enough so to speak to help their sides win something.

in recent years it would have to have been between valdes and VDS. this season juve are doin well due to a consistent strike force and sturdy defence, real doin pretty good also. Cesar keepin inter's title defence. VDS not quite the same. Cech would be also be up there running on 'current' form. there is alot to take into consideration

Maicon has eclipsed Dani Alves since Alves got injured and Villa because he doesn't stop scoring for club or country...you could have put in a number of players there though, but honestly, you're actually going to tell me that's not a fair line up?
If you're going to play with a defensive midfielder, it has to be Essien. I mean Yaya is class, but Essien is an animal.
I almost put Lass in but saw there were probably one too many Real Madrid players. I'm happy with Yaya over Essien, Yaya was a fundamental part to Barca winning the treble...did a LOT of the defensive work in their treble campaign and with Essien coming back from a long injury and what not, it seemed the likely choice

Arshavin, dont really agree with you GK comments

without a rock solid defence there is only so much a keeper can do

Fair enough if you did it by form, Yaya did have a good season last season, but overall Essien is the better of the two..Essien is in the top 3 best DM's in the world, and many will tell you he's the best.

Given
A Cole
Terry
Puyol
Alves
Essien
Iniesta
Gerrard
Ronaldo
Torres
Rooney

Not a bad side........
As for the goalkeeper - I could play for Madrid or Juventus in goal and they would still do alright so I don't hold much truck with the argument that Casillas and Buffon are the best (although they are undoubtedly extremely good) but for mine it would have to be Given at the moment as the best.

He also enjoys knob, with a side of ass, on a bed of balls.
Tommy: We've lost Gorgeous George.

Brick Top: Well, where'd you lose him? He ain't a set of fucking car keys now, is he? And it ain't as if he's incon-fucking-spicuous now, is it?

Good to see you finally give credit to the current english champions. Fair play to you, it must have been hard to admit how good that team is, minus Ronaldo of course!

Torres doesn't play in the hole or on the wing... It's like comparing a wing back with a centre-half... :P

You are having a laugh arent you???

Last 5 years!! You obviously dont watch much else apart from your team.

You are hilarious - Rio was at his best when Man U won the CL and the season before that i guess, but before and after I dont think so.

2005-2006 Cannavaro and Nesta on equal terms by miles in front of everyone else.

2007-2009 Puyol followed by Ferdinand, Vidic and this year I would put Chiellini in there as well.

Hasn't been too shabby the last 5 years though has he? From some of the posts on here you would think people rated Titus Bramble higher
