Results:

Athelstone 5 Parafield Gardens 1

Metro 3 Adelaide Villa 1

So Metro vs Athelstone in the final.

This result means all three Metro senior teams have made it to hindmarsh! well done :)

Ripper game by Athelstone, blew Gardens out of the water and didn't let Gardens push them around. Well done girls.
Metro were a little dissapointing for mine, and have their keeper to thank for the scoreline. Villa were able to hang in there for most of the night and weren't really out played.
On last nights performances I would have to pick Athelsone for the cup. Metro are gonna have to take it up a notch or get blown away by a very quick and well organised team.

Athelstone were so good, wasnt the close exciting game i was hoping for.

Parafield can't have had the same team out there last night that they have won Div 3 with this year? maybe Deutschland Duchess can tell us? had maybe two players that looked like they were there to play and run and actually had a bit of skill in the middle. Jess did ok sweeping but I have seen her play much better games, keeper let in a few easy goals, im assuming gardens just got rattled with athelstone's early goal, but for top of div 3 to get smashed by top of div 4 was a little surprising...

If Athelstone play like they did last night they will win the final for sure against Metro, deservingly.

but the thing is though, our girls have been playing like that most of the yr, n only cause they didn't assume that they were goin to dominate they decided to stay div 4. with there team they would have pushed for a high placing in div 3 where they should have been. and btw the stones did villa 10-3 the other week with a replacement keeper n a diff sweeper, so watch out metro

Yes athelstone have been doing well in div4, but they have been pushed by a few teams thru the season and even lost a couple of games. I think both games last night showed that there isn't as big a gap between the better teams of the two divisions as we all probably thought.

We were just simply out played by a much faster and stronger team that wanted it a whole lot more than what we did - We didn't have our strongest team out there but that is no excuse as to why we played terrible, we won Div 3 for a reason but couldnt take that into last nights game.

our whole team was no where near as strong as what it has been all season - after the 1st goal everyone dropped their heads and in doing that resulted into 4 more goals :( and in the football world any score over 3 is a thumping.

it is a big dissapointment but we can still hold our heads up high and walk away as league winners :D

Athelstone is definatley a team to watch out for in the upcoming season - Metro have to be on their game coming into the G/F otherwise Athelstone are going to bring it home.

Well Done to all the Athelstone girls as you were the best out of the 2 teams and deserve the win.

GOODLUCK to Metro and Athelstone in the G/F

Great night last night. Well done to Modbury for hosting the evening and running a BBQ and such for the supporters.

Got there for the 2nd half of Athelstone V Parafield Gardens and couldn't believe the blow out - well done to Athelstone, they've been around the mark for the last couple of seasons are finally getting some well deserved accolades. Side note to this game... Parafields home pitch is very small in comparison to the Modbury pitch (which is fairly comparable to Athelstone's home ground) and i certainly felt that Athelstone were more comfortable with the space, used the space well and were definitely a fitter out-fit that Parafield.

Metro v Villa - an excellent game, Villa scoring early on with an excellent goal over the top of the Metro keeper. Metro too good in the end, out-passed the Villa midfield and after the initial hick-up were largely in control. I believe Villa were without a couple of key players, one of which who suffered a season ending injury in the Cup Quarter Finals but the majority of their remaining squad fought admirably until the final whistle. Side note to this game... What was with the referee!!!??? Spent more time berating the exhuberant spectators than concentrating on the game...
