Was a very entertaining extra-time period, it just seemed San Marco had more gas in the tank and took advantage of the space behind the defence.

para 3 : 4 cougars
i was at the cougars vs para game today and had the pleasure of watching a great game.

the game was a tale of two halfs with two evenly matched teams scrapping it out.

cougars deserved the result in the end after they pilled on the pressure in the second half. they had to deal with shocking pitch conditions and a biased referee (favoured para all game) who needs to stop blatantly cheating.

also the attitude of para's defenders needs to be questioned because for the entire match they were very dirty commiting alot of bad fouls. a few players were very lucky to still be on the pitch and im quite confident that if the referee was fairer they would hav been sent off.

nicholas lalli is the form player in the amatuer league scoring a hatrick today and 10 goals from his last 5 or 6 games! very impressive.

the cougars have put together a young and exciting team this year and they should not be taken lightly by teams from higher divisions if they are drawn together in the cup.

I thought the Beach/Downs game was pretty even, both sides having there fair share of chances. The referee was the only blight on the game as he was blowing his whistle for every little bit of contact yet he missed the most blatant of penalties. I think even the Downs supporters would agree that it was definately there. It really took away from the contest in the end. Well done to the Downs though, being reduced to 10 men they kept the ball pretty well.

Downs ressies won 5-2 over African All Stars. Downs down to ten men after a soft tackle that caused the All Star player to roll around a scream like a pig, referee bought it and sent off the Downs player early in the first half. The tackle didnt warrant a yellow let alone a staight red! late in the second half All stars were awarded a penalty after their player ran into one of our players and fell over in a screaming heap. Ref made the linesmen take the opposite sides to normal and this sums up his performance. Any team playing the All Stars be aware of the tactics used to get free kicks and sympathy from refs that cant keep up and should have given the game away years ago. All in all an entertaining game if you like to see those sort of tactics and the bewildered look on the Downs players faces as the game went on.

Reserves Cup: Modbury Vista 2 - 5 Elizabeth Vale

Challenge Cup: Elizabeth Vale 3 - 2 Modbury Vista

Vista had about 65 - 70% of possession especially in the 2nd half where we came from 3 down at half time. Michael Brookes was the difference scoring 2 and setting one up in a 15 minute period by the vale where they were on top. He came off at half time and as Vista got 1 back they looked very rattled. In all great game though in the conditions and good luck to the Vale for the remainder of the season.

Don't like my chances but if anyone at the a's game saw anything suspicious happening in the carpark please PM me as my car was broken into in the carpark. They got away with about $2100 worth of stuff...... Wankers!!!
