Re: RONALDO to REAL MADRID
I don't think Florentino would give up so easily if he was available, at this stage we're really fighting on two fronts, we have to make sure that Barca don't sign anymore world class players and we've have to sign as many world class players as we can get our hands on. I think Ribery being off the cards means we'll seal the deal for Ronaldo. Just intuition though.BAGGIO 15 wrote:you may be right, we'll have to wait and see.

Re: RONALDO to REAL MADRID
The way the contracts are organised, Real Madrid would receive 50% of Ronaldo's image rights, which is a considerable amount of money and each game is Asia is paid at 15 million euros per game...3 games = half of Ronaldo and that's not taking into account the Ronaldo shirts that are sold and all the other memorabilia and stuff that gets sold, by the end of the preseason Ronaldo would have paid the 89 million euros that he's worth.BAGGIO 15 wrote:Tough to buy 2 players of that calibre for any club in world football.

Florentino Perez Ready To Bring Cristiano Ronaldo To Real Madrid – Reports
The 'Godfather of the Galactico' dynasty is about to launch his assault to bring a second mega-star to the Bernabeu…
After successfully completing the €65 million capture of Kaka from AC Milan, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is now ready to initiate a plan of attack to snare Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United, despite previously stating that it would be economically impossible to sign the two Ballon d’Or winners in the same summer.
While los Blancos’ worldwide fans were anxiously waiting throughout the whole of last week for official confirmation of Kaka’s move to the Santiago Bernabeu, Perez was busy talking up his admiration for the Red Devil as well as asserting, more than once, that he would do whatever he could to lure Ronaldo to the Spanish capital.
AS has reported that the Casa Blanca boss is finally ready to execute the pre-contract agreement with Ronaldo, which was put in place by ex-president Ramon Calderon around this time last year, and pay out the €89 million clause stipulated in the deal. Madrid, however, will have only until June 30 to complete the transaction, or they will risk paying a €30 million penalty for breaking the contract.
The paper also suggests that Perez has already begun conversations with United chief executive David Gill and manager Sir Alex Ferguson to discuss the possibility of reducing the transfer fee, although club owner Malcolm Glazer has reportedly shot down the proposal.
Perez, unlike Calderon, has maintained a good relationship with his United counterparts since the days of the G-14 group. And interestingly enough, the Spanish press have pointed out that over the past few weeks, when rumours of Ronaldo’s move to Madrid started to intensify, the outspoken Ferguson has not said anything to the media about the matter.

Yeh Calderon was terrible, the man who should have never left is back in control, with him we should recuperate our respect and dignity...and regain the ability to see Ronaldo (the one that's below 100 kilos) playing in the number 9 Real Madrid shirt

Re: RONALDO to REAL MADRID
If you look at my posts, I still never said I wanted him...I much prefer Ribery, Ronaldo is a playboy who left us high and dry last season when we needed him most. He can never be a true Madridista like I thought he was, all those pictures of his family saying that his dream was Madrid and that he was born to play for Madrid and that he would do everything to play at Madrid, it was all bull, the guy just wanted a better contract, wouldn't be surprised if he does the same again, although we have Kaka now so he might well just take the better contract and relax a bit more, letting Kaka do more of the work.Hala Madrid wrote:whatever happened to this ronaldo hater madridista that we all knew?

This guy is a disgrace, he even leaves his country high and dry so he can go to the US and party...hernia my a55, guy probably just got a boner for someone in LA and was like...well must have her (lucky bas.tard).
Bet you anything if he signs with Madrid he'll cause problems in the dressing room, he'll want number 7, or he'll want to be the captain, or he'll want to play whenever he wants, or he'll want to go to Portugal to see his family during the half time interval of the Copa del Rey final or some crazy crap like that.
Ribery is cheaper, won't bring in as much revenue as Ronaldo but will bring more hardwork and determination.

You'd lose most of the time either way.

Maybe Madrid should play hard to get. Tell Ronaldo it's time to sign or they will no longer be interested about his dream move coming true. Or they could sign a defender

Re: RONALDO to REAL MADRID
Florentino was on the phone to David Gill a few days ago trying to negotiate the price and lower it (of the pre-contract) but Gill said no and he won't be leaving for anything less than the 96M. So now Perez will just pay it all.
Sent our doctor to LA today to check him out and give him a medical, as the deal is all but done.

I'm not doubting the guys quality...he's obviously one of the best but I think Ribery would be more of a team player.
So are Real Madrid and Bayern....[/quote]
