Jack.
When it doesnt go, it doesnt go.
I wish it went, but it didnt.

The planets arent aligned, we dont believe in curses and refs dont cheat (seriously, i dont think they do).
We havent had the luck at all last 2 years.

I know where your coming from.....but sometimes you have to make your own luck.

We destroyed Sturt Marion twice this year and they held us to a lucky draw in round 1 and beat us on pen last week in the cup with one shot at goal all day.
But in the end its over 18 rounds that count so we're hoping the luck factor will balance out to see us sitting at the top of the table at the end of the year!! :D

Simpson will be a handy addition to an already strong midfield.

A's

Florina 5 - Fulham 1

B's

Florina 2 - Fulham 0

C's

Florina 3 - Fulham 1

Not a good day for Fulham.

Florina in the A's were obviously the better side on the day but at 3-1 n the 2nd half Fulham pushed for a goal to change the game and had a good spell but the 4th on the counter was the nail in the coffin.

A's Gardens 6-1 USC Lion - Another bad day at the office.
B's Gardens 3-1 USC Lion - Improving every week
C's Gardens 1-4 USC Lion - The Botswana boys roll on!! Love the support they bring, highlight of the day was when they were all dancing and blowing their trumpets on the sidelines.

Fine effort by westies young guns, Farm had too many snipers and not enough ball players. Ref was rubbish. Missed a blatant punch to the guts by farm player in the box near the end. westies finished with 10 men after a second yellow to a defender for retalliation. He got sent off but nothing for the farm player(lucky)

must admit periods of the game wasn't much in it, but florina were on fire when they went forward and buried their chances. our first was a cracker with trevor elliott spotting westers unmarked the other side of the box and chipped
cross field to be spanked home by aaron.

Vista boys way to strong today, the score line could have easily been uglier than what it was, one shining light for the day was the B's won 3-2. after leading two nil Visa came back and equalised and we got the winner with about 5 minutes to go

gardens v lion
a,s
6-1
goal scorers taylor, girdler, ebomo, zaworski, foster, and an own goal set up by matt chose. a good performance all round with a few of the lion boys telling me they are missing six players at the moment through injury. they could be the dark horse and steal some points in the 2nd halve of the year as they come back. a good bunch of lads they were. on a side note the referee was excellent yesterday, good communication with the players and kept control of the game where he had to.

b's
3-1
goal scorers foaty, rj and pondy (i think). didnt see this game but all reports were that the lads were in control.

c,s
1-4
didnt see this one either but apparently the botswana boys were good value.

looking forward to westies next week, should tell us where both the first and ressies are at.

To keep Sprogett happy I guess I had better post something. Again I was on BBQ duties so only got to see bits and pieces of the games.

A's
The boys were devestated to lose again to Westies. The quietest change room I have ever walked into. We had enough possession and enough opportunites to win the game but didn't deliver enough. Westies whilst not having a heap of chances, take theres nearly every time and thats why they are so hard to beat at the moment. There is nothing special or flash to their game, just guys that have a dip and play direct football. There first goal game from a shot that was saved by our keeper but one of their players ran onto the loose ball and slotted it away nicely on the angle. Not sure how the second goal came about as I was making a Yiros :) Our goal was a header by big Chris Ennis. The boys gave it their all but we are missing two of our 3 strikers, put one sub on who had to come off after 5 mins and we had a player sent off. Just one of those games where it didn't go right for us on the day. As for the ref, not a great performance but didn't really influence the result because if we had taken our chances and utilised the possesion we had better we could of come away with a point and possibly 3 points. Russell Harris played well for Westies to. Well Done to Westies and its almost their title to lose now. They have some big games coming up but on form over this year and last year, they are red hot favourites and would be disappointed to lose it from here.

B's 3-0
We scored very early on and added a second after about 25 mins. I saw even less of this game but from all reports, we dominated and could of had a few more. Good to see the Ressies getting back on track and I feel a comeback into the Ressies by me is on the cards now that we are winning

C's 0-0
Good tough game in slippery conditions. We had a guy go down with a knee and our young keeper take a bad knock which meant I had to take the park and play myself upfront. :D The game clearly change then  Fairly even game and I thought a draw was a pretty fair result but really a 2-2 draw as both sides missed some easy chances. Good to see Johno and Matty Rowe still running around out there. Best player for Westies has to be their Centre Half and Sweeper. Anyone who can keep me goal less must of had a good game  :D

Dad's Army v Gully. We won 5-2
Finally the boys got a win on the board. I think Gav will do a match report and put it up on our website for those interested.

Losing the first team like we did was really disappointing as I thought we were going to get at least a point from that game. We have to regroup and get ready for another big game this week against Florina. Cheers to the Westies guys who hung around after the game for a drink. Whilst we have a big rivarly with them now, we do have a lot of mates at the club and the game was certainly fiesty but in pretty good spirit. The only disappointing thing was to see a fair few of their supporters bring their own drinks to the game but I guess thats their choice. A few interesting comments made to your two ex players to but again, some people choose to hold a grudge, others move on.

Hope your happy now Sprogget and you dont need to fish for any more compliments about your young players.

Looking forward to next weeks chicken wings Uncle Cracker. :D

Agree that the heckling of the ex westies player by some of their crowd is a very poor showing and does not reflect well on the club.
Perhaps some of their crowd should show the same level of maturity off the pitch that their young players show on it

To my knowledge the player has had a big impact over the years in getting the club where it is today and regardless of whatever has transpired during and since his departure, surely a certain level of respect is warranted.

Well played to westies but dont count your chickens just yet ...

The boys are big enough to take it and they still have lots of great mates down at Westies. Fortunately for us, the play for the Farm and are great people to have around the club along with their families and hopefully will stay with us for the next 20 years and players, coaches and supporters.

he said it to one of our defenders when everyone was shaking hands after the game, probably just out of frustration. He later came into our change room and apologized. No harm done
