STHN KNIGHTS vs WEST BEACH : West beach to take the points 1-2

VIKINGS vs P/HILLS EAST : East just 2-1

MUNNO PARA vs ISC RAPTORS: Para at home 3-1

TTG CITY vs ELIZ GROVE : Gully but it'll be a close one i think 3-2

MOD VISTA vs SAN MARCO: Vista to win 3-1

The Fenced pitch down the bottom the club needed more space for the juniors and the women team to train on so in order to fix the problem they turned the lights round to the vacant area (where the rugby pitch was) for more teams to train... plus club rooms at the top are tip top much better than the bottom and more convenient for everyone!! :D

True their, can any one from Munno Para say why the bottom pitch has stopped being used, with the fence around it?
The junior fed sides use it. (Fence required around pitch)

Plus the clubrooms are bigger up the road, with better facilities.

I didn't know Munno Para still fielded a federation team but did know they used to use it and thats why the fence was put there. Thanks for filling me in Para boys.

Knights v Beach - West Beach are a good side and you can be sure that Southern Knights biggest weapon at home wont effect these lads. 3 - 1 (West to enjoy the Sea Breeze)
Vikings v East - Not that Viking arent a decent side but heard talk around the place there are a few players from East that want nothing less than promotion 2 - 0
Munno Para v Raptors - Raptors still lack that spark they had last year, any chance you can fly him back from Melbourne once a week?? 3 - 0
Gully v Grove - Both strong, aggressive teams this will be the one to watch on Sunday! 1 - 1 (At least 3 Red cards in the A's and B's on Sunday)
Vista v San Marco - Should be a matter of rocking up and scoring the goals for a high flying Vista side but if they play the way I saw them against Angle Vale it could be very difficult to beat a San Marco team that CAN play 3 - 1
Only 3 reds....? thats a PRETTY big call![/quote]

I have found that when two "passionate and aggressive" teams play each other there are going to be cards shown, rather than a "passionate and aggrressive" team playing a team out for a kick. Sort of like going from a maybe to a deffinately!

fenced pitch is not used at all for soccer anymore now that the lights have been turned around. about what outlaw was talking about we did have that option when the league first expanded and decided against the move, who knows what the future holds

knights v beach- beach starting to find form while knights seem to be struggling. all ways tough to win at knights but beach should do the job.

vikings v east- vikings a better side then most thought this year and east are decent, but east think they are better then they are, but they are only a tough mid table side rather then a promotion contender. imo

munno para v raptors- both teams struggling down the bottom, raptors are generally slow starters over the years and i think they might start coming good now. still think para out of there depth in div 2.

gully v grove- cant seperate the 2, both have decent sides for div 2. gully seem more organised and fit. where as grove rely on docherty to much. but grove should do enough for a draw.

vista v san marco- only a matter of time before the wheels fall of at vista, and i think this may be the week. marco arent as bad as results suggest, and vista arent as good as results suggest. imo.

this week might give us a better gage as to who is fighting promotion and relegation etc. very important round i think.

Big call to say Grove rely on Docherty to much considering they were 2-0 without him at start of season and are now 3-2. No doubt Brad is a good pick up for The Grove but it justs adds to the quality they already have for a Div 2 club remember this is the same team that knocked 5 Div 1 clubs out of the cup last year. Have had 2 bad games of late but in my opinion will definately push for promotion!

beach v knights- Beach to much quality with Manca knights always a battling side though. Beach 2-1

east v vikings- Tough game but i think east need this win after a few draws. East 3-1 (Terry Smith HAT TRICK)

munno para v raptors- Havn't seen raptors play but what iv seen of Para would have to agree they are out of there league. Draw 2-2

gully v grove- Gully havent really been tested as of yet and Grove seem to rise to the occasion of big games. Gully not as good as results suggest. Grove 3-1

vista v san marco- Both decent teams dont think vista are as good as there results Draw 2-2

fair call mate. and they are a solid team. but i wouldnt call any other players quality. rick truscot was good in his day but is getting on a bit the rest are good div 2 players but thats about it. in my opinoion.

Quality for Div 2 is what i meant. they also showed last year in the cup that on there day they can match it with most teams in the amateur league! With the exception of some teams eg CUP FINAL haha

the pitch vista played us on pre-season is the c grade pitch which is really small and we used this because the cricket season was still on where our main pitch is now, but i think they have stopped using the bottom pitch with the fence and lights because the club rooms would be so far away, but im not sure if this is the only reason? we do still use it for training though....
Ahh k, I was not their for the pre season game was in melb for the a league final. Was just curious about the bottom pitch because I have noticed it doesn't get used any more not even with the juniors, dont you have club rooms down near that pitch?
Club rooms down next to that pitch are for the rugby side I was told however it is indeed a quality pitch and i would suggest that if Munno Para had access to the bottom clubrooms it would certainly be in their best interest to move to that pitch rather than where they are.

.......................................A LITTLE OFF THE TOPIC..............................................

With so many new housing developments in the North and Gawlers poor effort as a federation club it could be the perfect opportunity for Munno Para to expand their junior development and grow their club to be as big as most others around.

I was talking recently with the CEO of FFSA and he was saying that there were a couple of clubs in the Northern/North Eastern suburbs they wanted to try and bring on board as a result of certain clubs either leaving the league or being asked to leave. With a bigger junior setup and they already have a womens team Munno Para would be the perfect candidate.

JUST A THOUGHT

My dad is a life and founder member of munno para. the reason why we dont apply for the federation because the association fees are expensive and they expect the club to have proper security facilities, eg. fencing around the club facilities, seating for 1500 people. We would rather be a family club and a strong amature club.

If you spent $10,000 Munno Para would have a lot better facilities than 70% of federation clubs. The potential is enormous.

I'd say that the FFSA may talk tough but looking at some of the clubs / club set ups that are around Munno Para would not have to do alot of work to get up to State league requirments....Super league might be a different story.......

the reason why we dont spend $10,000 on our club is because the council dont fund soccer in the northern suburbs as much as they do with the local footy, they should spend even amounts of money on ALL local sports. Us at Munno Para paid and installed volunterally flood lights and fencing without any financial support from the Playford council
