Anyhoo,
Adelaide Uni vs Flinders Uni this Sat,
Div1 vs Div2, and
Div3 vs Div3.
Both Reserves 11am KO, Both Firsts 1PM KO.
All games at Parks Community Centre, Angle Pk.

Adelaide Uni also looking for trial games for their Sat Div1 teams (first, reserves) for next weekend (21st/22nd)
Prefer Sun Div 1/2 or Sat Div 2, but will if we can't get them, will look at all offers. We can organise pitches, or go with yours. PM me.
They did. Adelaide Uni have 7 teams now in the Saturday leagues!

I thought Flinders Div 3 got relegated last year?

In fact most probably would

Would prefer to watch Vista v Jets than Essendon v Coolingwood etc
Mate, if they were trials involving ANYONE you can think what you like, but crackers? Even Collingwood v Essendon last week was a virtual trial game - would never rate as a cracker.
If/when these "local rivals" clashes happen for points or in a cup tie, that's a different story!
It was a cracker for me !!

They may have. But I'm not sure they can get relegated to Div 4. Isn't Div 4 a one team league - effectively C's??

Depends on the makeup of Sat Div 4 this season. And I figure until the book comes out, likely within the next couple of days, who knows what is happening on divisional splits.

Div 4 is:

Old Ignatians 2
Flinders 2
Adelaide Uni 3

And the pricks as SAASL still haven't managed to list the divisions menu in an order tht makes some sense. FFS... how füçking hard can it be?

Mind you, it has improved a little on last season.

And why can't they list all the division's fictures on a scroll down page so you don't have to click on a new link on a day to day basis?

yeah, uni moved 2 of it's collegiate league teams over to the SAASL and are only fielding one team in the csl this year instead of 3. So we still only have 8 men's teams excluding the masters.

Cougars vs Vipers was a very open affair. Cougars look well organized, fit and have some quality. My tip is that if they stay healthy then a return to div 2 is a certainty! I must also state that they have cleaned up their act. All the best for 2009 and thanks for the hit out today.

Bodø kept for the A's and without him Monarchs would have put away at least 7.

Hey Horto!

Thanks for the good game yesterday! A very even contest right across the ground. The game was played in the right spirit and the Viper boys were a very hard, but fair side.
My prediction, only going from yesterday of course, is that you will be a side that will do ok in division 2. There is a big difference between division 3 and 2 in the Saturday league. I am thinking mid- table. There are many sides similar to you in that division in the MA Hawks, FC Adelaide, Navarino, Adelaide Comets and yourselves. Many GREEK western suburbs derbys ahead for division 2........ much lamb and yiros bread will be eaten at these games....
Only joking..... ALL THE BEST VIPERS FOR 2009!!!! Good bunch of blokes.

Hey 5cougarsthanx thanks for the hitout yesterday. Yes div 2 will certainly be a step up. Are we ready for it.. ssshhhhh time will tell. I thought you guys looked good yesterday and if that was only half your a's side, my tip is you will finish top.

Maybe all the Greek teams in div2 will finish bottom with all those souvlakia and other healthy foods that are going to be absorbed this season. Oh by the way, you guys will be meeting the Hawks, they are in div 3 as well.

Any referee influence on the game as the one we had last week refused to acknowledge his linesman and spoilt what would have been a good game :clown:

Great hitout for both teams. Agree if this was half the cougars side they will do very well in Div3, will be battling for top spot I reckon with the Hawks.
Definately the cougars where a clean fair bunch of blokes, if anything I would say the Vipers where a bit rougher (not dirty) but certainly harder.

Bomber you have a good fit squad!
