Brick Top: Well, where'd you lose him? He ain't a set of fucking car keys now, is he? And it ain't as if he's incon-fucking-spicuous now, is it?

Re: international Soccer Challenge
The Juve team that came here contained Nocerino, Palladino and Bonnefoi - all future first teamers. I'm gonna have to look at my program to see who was here. I know there was a Bayer Leverkusen player who is fairly well known and I'm sure Ajax had a few. Newcastle had Chopra.
Re: international Soccer Challenge
From the 2002 edition (i'll just name who I think are the most well known these days) -
Ajax
Ryan Babel
Hedwiges Maduro
Daniel De Ridder
Bayern Munich
Christian Lell
Newcastle
Michael Chopra
Steve Taylor
Rangers
Alan Hutton
Shandong Luneng
...moving along
Juventus
Raffaele Palladino
Antonio Nocerino
Mattia Cassani
plus others probably only calcio fans would know, such as Landry Bonnefoi, Daniele Gastaldello and Vitkor Bounianski.
Australs
Adam Van Dommelle
Alex Brosque
Adriano Pellegrino
Vince Lia
Massimo Murdocca
Daniel Piorkowski
Matthew McKay
Vasco
You never know what names these Brazilians have changed to so yeh I wouldn't have a clue just juding by the program.

Re: international Soccer Challenge
Christian Lell is probably the only name I recognize after Babel (thanks to his move to Liverpool).

Re: international Soccer Challenge
I do remember watching a few games one year , some nice fans for one particular team decided that Hindmarsh needed remodelling and smashed a few seats for fun... Football was good quality and it is a shame the fans stayed away in their droves.

Gentleman the comp was originally started in 2002 as the Festival Cup
Had a great time working there.
http://www.abc.net.au/7.30/content/2002/s640739.htm
The above website has got some write ups and stuff on the tournament.
hope this helps
the guy that was playing for Newcastle with Chopra was Richard Offiong now at the Hamilton Accies
The newcastle boys were a great laugh too, we managed to get a few drinks with them towards the end of the tournament.
The funny thing was that the only 2 that stayed out the way of it all were Steven Taylor and Chopra
