And Leppskiii (to you) can talk because she received a lot from people on the forum about Metro "stacking" their team and now it's Olympic's turn to cop some.
And explain how what Metro did was worse than what Olympic did? By the sounds of things, Olympic dropped MORE players than Metro...
prove it...prove that olympic players havent played more then 5 games..compare team sheets and ull see the huge difference in metros then the olympic one for div 4s
Well firstly, thats quite unfair for Modbury that Olympic did stack their div 4 team. Maybe the coach just doesn't have enough belief that the original div 4 team could win the competition by themselves. Aww, poor team, your coach thinks you're all crap!
Yes, what Olympic did wasn't against the rules, but it wasn't in the spirit of the game and thats what should matter to all footballers, rather than trying to find a loop in the rules so they can unethically win.
The FFSA should invent a rule that states that no clubs are allowed to drop prems/ reserves players to lower senior division games. This would avoid conflict between clubs and the FFSA, especially when it comes to season-defining games.
I might not have proof of the team sheets but I looked up the results on the SAWSA website:
Adelaide Olympic 0:0 Modbury - 25/5/08
Modbury 1:0 Adelaide Olympic - 20/7/08
Adelaide Olympic 6:0 Modbury - 21/9/08
Well, well, well. Looks like the last game's result is an outlier. So tell me, if Olympic didn't cheat, how did the result end up being so one sided, when the two other games were quite even.
Oh and "Some Modbury players might not have been at that game" isn't an adequate answer, seeing as it was their most important game of the season.
Ok so Fulham may have conceeded 1, 2 or maybe even 3 goals in a game this season, before they conceeded 4 goals this season. So this means that either 1, 2 or 3 more goals were conceeded to add up to the 4.
Now if we look at the Olympic and Modbury case. Olympic hadn't beaten Modbury for the whole season. Modbury had beater Olympic once. So, Olympic would have had to score 6 goals, coming from having scored no goals against Modbury and also beat Modbury, which they hadn't managed to do this season either.
There may not be physical proof, but you should be able to see the clear signs that something wasn't right with Olympics team in that game.
until u prove with team sheets that they played prem players in div 4 then u have no grounds to accuse them of poor sportsmanship. im just saying that funny things happen in games, including 6-0 wins
The dropping of players happens in every division. They should change the rule... that you can play down to the next division your club has a team in as long as the gap is not more than 2 divs.
Teams also need to ask the ref to check the team sheets and palyer rego cards on the day at the match if you think something is not right. Do this and you can really catch the cheats out!
it IS against the rules for ANY prem player to play in lower divisions. Olympic did not have ANY prem players in the div 4 team. in fact there were only 3 players who have played both reserves and div 4, for the year. the majority of the reserve players were also tied up to Prem team due to injury.
There WERE prem players and reserve players at the ground on sunday, in their strips, because we had a CLUB photo taken before the game for all 3 teams. Clearly modbury have seen these players and made some assumptions that they were going to play. NEVER make assumptions people.
As Gubs has clearly stated, prove that there has been stacking! bring out the match sheets, show us which prem players, or even reserve players, were dropped??? in fact if modbury is that sure that prem players were on the ground, report it to SAWSA. but i know you wont because it never happened.
as Gubs stated, games change, fulham had not conceded that many goals in years and it happens. Olympic div 4 were a newly formed team. beginning of the year, they struggled to find numbers, and to gel as a group, which happens in general. they have improved as the year progressed, and they were clearly the better team on the day.
get the match sheets people, for the WHOLE year if you must, and TELL us WHO these prem players were???? if you cant do that, then just let the girls enjoy the win that they worked hard for all year.
Ok, well if you're talking about me saying that they put prem players in their team... Just look at my original statement - there is nothing there about Prem players in the part where I talked about Olympic... by mentioning prem players, you're just digging yourself a hole.
If the Olympic team progressed as the year went on, how come the drew to Modbury and then lost to them... it shows more that they went downhill rather than improved.
Gubs:
I never labelled any club as cheats, you are just assuming this, which is a wrong assumption. I said that it was against the spirit of the game for Olympic to stack their Div 4 team. Duh!
well said coco and gubs....Olympic won on goal average, so it seems to me they scored plenty of goals this season MORE THEN MODBURY. To be exact Olympic had a 30 goal average better then Modbury...
A few of the modbury players were complaining of been hungover, maybe they should of had there priorities right before a big game an waited to celebrate after. They played pretty ordinary for a team to be at the top of the table..
no modbury didnt play ordinary we actualli played quite well..
nd get over the whole hung over thing. cos we bet olmypic last time and people had hang overs hahaha..
use did only win over goal average. but it aint the quanitity its the quality..
modbury and olympic were very even and its jus funny that you smashed us 6 nil..
id rather quantity of goals and not quality esp if it is the difference between winning a league and coming runners up. scorelines matter, not how u score them
It was ur players that complained about been hung over not Olympic. If it didn’t bother them then why say it..
And yes 6-0 it was really funny... Almost as funny as Adelaide united vs Melb Victory a few years ago in the final.. did they stack there team or did united just have an unlucky day?

There is no problem to take the attention off... I was just using a example where one team can dominate one week then get smashed the next with the same squad, its apart of any sport so get over it an start looking at facts like team sheets if you feel like you were cheated...
no im not number 3 and no im not a reserve player im a div 4 player sorry girls hehe
yeh i knw dnt worry they got blasted at for putting it on i left the room for like 15 minutes
