I can honestly state the Adelaide Raiders WILL have the best Pathways as long as I am Technical Director.
The club will push players through the junior ranks so players who can play up will do so. The juniors will push players into the senior sides and also forward players to Adelaide United youth system.
The club will forward any player who can play a higher level and assist all players who show desire and talent.

isn't that what every clubs tech director tells us
I do not know which makes a man more conservative—to know nothing but the present, or nothing but the past. - John Maynard Keynes
Yes every technical director will say that, but how will they do it and what experience do they have.
I think it is time for working and not talking about this stuff. I will work hard and I will make Raiders one of the best if not THE best junior club in SA.

And who please ???
Just from someone involved in the club who said that there are a few people who might move on.
There will always be people coming and going for differing reasons.
We would like to think always to develop. At the Raiders we welcome any young players who want to develop and learn in a supportive environment.
Please keep comments constructive. If you have any reasons why players would BE leaving the Raiders on mass I would appreciate some information so I could tackle issues in my role as Technical Director. I am always open to new ideas or comments to assist players growth.

Same John Walker that was involved in EFI?
If so; Raiders are in good hands. My son aquired a lot of knowledge with a only a few lessons from you, to this day he still follows the advice and remebers "white line fever", even though he was 8 or 9 at the time and is now 11.

i play for adelaide city so i cant wait for our fixture
ill be seeing u on the pitch
As one of Walker's bosses....by the way my name is Brenton Waye ...players leave believing what they are told....by others...we wish them well and see you on the park. we have grown by around 47% this year, Walker has brought a number of fantastic families to our club and we have worked hard for that growth. We have a solid plan for the next 5years and beyond...say what you like about us but we are here to stay and grow and develop players thats is what walker is employed to do and spend a minute with him and he will excite anyone that is passionate about player development. So i guess we will have to see what the Raiders deliver....2009.. also i suggest tell me your real name before you respond that way i know your serious.
Mr.John Walker is a gentleman, a top professional and always puts his money where his mouth is, I had the pleasure to work alongside him, very briefly, and was very impressed by his work and dedication.
To the Adelaide City player calling him a wanker, there is good news for you, it's Xmas soon, you could ask father Christmas for a brain and for some manners.

Parahills Knights for sure have a great junior pathway.
Players like Matthew Mullen and others that have made AU Youth Team, Ryan and Dylan McGowan who are currently playing for Hearts U/19s Youth Team, Ryan also advancing into the higher levels at Hearts. All these players went through Parahills juniors. Not to mention all the players from Parahills that are in SASI at the moment. Parahills Knights does it for me.
Yes Para Hills have a great history in SA for junior development. It is sad that the great Mr Crook who was involved with PHSC has passes away. I am sure Para Hills and other clubs will continue to develop juniors. I wish someone could educate some of the comments made on this forum, so much dribble without a ball.
Good luck to Para Hills in 2009 and we hope for very competative games between them and the Raiders.

1. How can the Technical Director (What is that and where would it fit in a organisational chart at the club) say what coaches at a club (In particular a Super League club) say that players (Younger) will be played in certain teams, as technical Director do you tell coaches who to play or suggest? Who has the last say?
2. With your sessions or clinics, why do players come to them? Shouldnt the coaches at the clubs teach, train and help the players grow and learn? You can pay $500 for a kid to play in Under 13's shouldnt the coach be able to teach the player(I could PM an example).
3. What clubs have you been involved with and why would you move away from one club to another?
4. As a Technical director of Juniors what do you look for in a player and what do you think of TRIALS?
