raiders has great facilities but the ground is crap.

I recall that Birk's ground was awesome. I reckon that's the one I would go for.

Now for some reality checking here on the trials to date.

Having watched and been in a few in my time, the skills I have seen shown at trials is (at this time of the year) a concern. These are Prems players? Ball control and agility on the ball is pretty well down the list. I don't care from where they have come from i.e. sasi or prems only, skills are and have always been our biggest downfall. If a player does not have the skills and confidence at this age then its no use trying to teach them skills.

Lots of work to be done if we are to be competitive.

There were a fair few players also not from prems or sasi at trials

FYI - the Adelaide Sensation Squad for the Tasmania series in November 2007 was as follows. Bear in mind this squad was chosen to play a 5 state series until WA, Vic and ACT pulled out.
GK's - L Trimboli, S McLaren
Def - L Slater, E Weidenbach, C May, S Day, T Katianos, K Brock
Mid - M Holmwood, D Barbiero, A Fimmano, C Papageorgiou, L Chilvers, A Chilvers
Fwd - G French-Kennedy, K Bexis, V Balomenos, M Rajcic
For the Game. For the World.

this time round there will be no trimboli, no Day, and no Rajcic so there r three big name missing
but now we have the likes of quigley, and with a diff set up hopefully players like Black etc play!

If the team selection is based on the trial then maybe the players above may get a gig. If teh coaches were at the games over the last weekend or so, then it may change.

The diff between the sensations and this league is thet valetta road guru won't be there to call the shots and select his team. Just hope we don't get embarassed.

Then again, there may be some big name selctions that are not currently in sa.

Unfortunately it ain't funny. This is SA's reputation on the line here. We don't want it to become Adelaide sensations MKII. The appointment of the coaching panel attests to that so hopefully we won't see the same old same old.

2008 will be crucial and will set the foundations of future w-league teams. Hoepfully the coaches will inatll the support of ALL players so that we get confidence back into the selection process. In the past its been sasi rebadged as sensations. Can't say I blame it because it would be embarassing if his players were'nt selected. He ain't there this time.

Leppps. I am sure you will attest to that.

p.s I'll chat with you when have made the team.

Firstly, I thought we've established that there aren't any other players who haven't been involved with SASI that are likely candidates for the sensations team. Unless you know someone?
Who from outside of SASI would you have had in the previous sensations team? I'm just curious to know your thoughts..

He isn't there this time but I'm sure 90%, if not 100% of the players selected will be players who have previously been affiliated with SASI.

And lastly, care to explain your last comment? Don't you believe she will make the team?

Surprised, hope Anne-Marie is a playing physio. Certainly rate her in the best 11 players in SA.

Why would some metro players think that?
its a level playing field..we have all trialed just like everyone else...may as well just say what u want to really say..

just to add.. i thought we were the most untalented bunch of physically overbearing players in the league..isnt that what u guys said?

Why are people talking about metro? waste of a key stroke

They are the collingwood of the women premsa league. Perenial underachievers. Big tickets and opinions of one self. But little else.

When Zac left it said it all.

turn off the light when you leave!
