Playford City 6-1 Campbelltown.
1st goal was in the first 5 minutes..Playford never looked like losing.
Playfords keeper had to be stretchered off in like the 10-15th minute due to a possible broken leg.
Was it the same keeper who broke his leg in the 14s last year?
If so thats terrible news
Yeah it was the same keeper..same leg..same place.
He was really good though..completely off his face by the ambulance shouting 'GO PLAYFORD'. Made us laugh from the field.
Unfortunately tho thats his season done..after only one full game.

Para hills remained focused during the whole game, hence the 2-0 win.
i think Modbury got a little confused and thought they were coming out to play a game of rugby not football.
One of the para boys ended up with a broken leg, incidentally Para Hills got no cards, while Modbury recieved 4. The ref was only 17 years old and in my opinion far too inexperienced, as much as he tried to take control of the game, he failed miserably. Although matters were not helped by the modbury coach who was heard by several people telling his team to do very naughty things and then when he obviously thought they were going to far, lost control completely.
This is the only game where i have seen a player, push the ref away and Absolutely NOTHING was done about it, personally I think the ref was terrified as soon as the game was over he made a really quick exit. Leaving the ground steward to stop the modbury players starting a third fight.
This is not the first time that this Modbury u16's team has seriously hurt someone and personally feel that the FFSA need to address this. The Para hills boys behaved impecably, which was not easy to do when for nearly the whole game they were being threatened, hacked, elbowed, (in the face ! off play ) and stomped on, while on the ground.
Modbury's coach needs to realise that he can't bully his way through this season and perhaps should concentrate on teaching his team to play the game!!!!!

interesting
I hear that the referee and Modbury coach and referee are good mates, so i would find it very hard to believe that he was yelling at him.
I too witnessed the game and was shocked at the comments the Para hills coach was making during the game, abusing Modbury players from the sideline.
In saying that the Para boys did win the game and deserved too, after watching the Modbury boys play before i dont think the next game will be as easy next time.
I hope the lad that broke his leg, gets well soon.

I am sure that the Modbury coach would not instruct his boys to act in a rough manner, he has been around for along time and would not appreciate any sort of foul play.
Maybe the parents that heard the comments might want to come forward and make contact with the Modbury president and let her know what they heard.

I was at this game and the collision was just one of those things that happens on a pitch - was a 50/50 ball, no malice in it from either player.
Very unfortunate for the Playford keeper and I wish him a speedy recovery. You never like to see or hear things like this on the pitch.
heard a rumour a certain modbury under 16 player last year was prased and cheered by the same mob who on sunday abused and jeered him. Shallow memories by the mob.
