Brookesy put his hand up after playing a whole game in the C's. The game was played in thirds (due to the heat) and he did quite well in the first third, but in the second third Inter had four shots on goal for four goals. Presto went in for the last third and was quite good. But hats off to Brookesy, there is no way in hell I would have put my hand up and I certainly don't think I would have done any better.

who scored for para in the A's?
who scored for para in the A's?

Munno Para dominated the whole game, not that the score suggests that! Keegan A scored the first, a cracker, top right from about 30 yards, Chrissy D scored the second, beautiful finish after good work from Keegs. Then inter got lucky with Weed picking up the ball when Matty B passed it back to him! Scored the free kick from about 14 yards out. Inter scored their second with a shite goal the Para defence fell asleep! Up stepped Ryan A to score the winner after nice work by the Cap and Sonny Days on the left! Para looked pretty sharp but still lacking in defence with the Russian Sub still out injured!

Both games played in Mt Gambier.

A's - Apollo 2 - Farm 3.
B's - Apollo 2 - Farm 4 (Jay Walking scored a cracking volley, just went into the wrong net :D )

After having a few players pull out at the last minute the Farm travelled with 15 players and no keepers. A big thanks must go out to our former keeper Colin Smith who now lives in the Mount for filling in as keeper. To the dismay to some of the lads, 10 of the 15 players were required to play 2 games in less then 24 hours. Two good games played in excellent spirit.

Many thanks to the club and players at Mt. Gambier Apollo for your warm welcome and hospitality. Great club and a great bunch of lads. All the best in your comming season... hopefully you can go one step better this year and win the league...

Kieran Taylor 2, Simon Panes 2 ( definitely 1, can't actually remember the 3rd goal but I think he got 2)

First hour of the game was ok for only our 2nd hit out, the last half hour was certainly pretty uninspiring stuff from both sides. I thought Grove played through the midfield quite well but were lacking a cutting edge up front.

Pontian A's played Astereas 3-1 to Pontians

Pontian B's Played a Griffen Select team I think 2-2

In the A's game both teams didnt really want to be out there and just went through the motions. Some good finishing from both sides. Pitch was very dry and hard. Cant wait for this rain to come.

Yeah I wouldn't get carried away and call it 'dominating' but it certainly was a great effort and a good win. Munno Para certainly had the better of the first third (played in thirds due to the heat) but after that the game really tightened up and it was a bit of an arm wrestle through the midfield, and both defences looked pretty solid and allowed very few clear chances on goal.

Inter were a bit fortunate when Weed had a brain fade and picked up a pass back to him instead of clearing it and they scored from the resulting free kick with a well placed low shot. Inter stepped up the pressure a little and were rewarded when a defensive error ended in a bit of a scrambled goal.

The game really looked like it could go either way after Inters second goal, but some quick ball movement on the counter and a good finish got Para back the lead. Browny should probably have added another one a few minutes later too, but he fired his shot wide from close range after another good build up.

Modbury Jets - 2
MU Lions - 0

Good hard game by the jets in warm conditions with both teams missing some players. A little disspointing for our boys not so much in losing but in the way we played. Thanks to the Jets club for a good hit out and all the best for the coming season. They will be tough to beat.

Ressies 4-1 i think :?

Grove also had a few out. Still fielded a side that one would expect would be strong enough to hold their own though. If this was a sign of things to come Grove will struggle. However ,I personally believe it was just a bad day and things will improve again.
I'm very happy to have moved to West Ham, because I can play for a better team than Sheffield Wednesday.
