All this about forfeits , seems to get back to communication between clubs. A club should/would know the day before whether they are capable of fielding both a Premier and Reserves team in this instant.

All the clubs would be aware that Fulham have struggled during the year due to some injuries, players having got opportunities to go overseas, catch up games, cup games on a Friday night, then League games on Sundays, not easy for teams involved in all that. Some other teams have faced parts of this also.

Taking the above into account this is possibly the most rewarding of the 4 League titles on the trot by Fulham. The coaches have really had to work hard with players to achieve it. Even the other clubs would have some admiration for Fulham this year. Not a good subject forfeits but do not use it as a distraction from Fulhams achievement. :)

this aint dusty posting, im the reserves keeper and a regular first team player at gawler. each and every week of the season we have had to play prems in our reserves games and vice versa and its not cuz we didnt have enough players. we had enough registered players for both teams at the start of the season but come a sunday we just dont have enough players...we also have had to play injured n sick players cuz we dont wanna forfiet games. these girls dont play cuz they have too, they play cuz they want too. most of the time we go out knowing that we arent gonna win but everyone still plays their best to try and make it competitive... u guys who complain bout travelling um hello WE ALL HAVE TO DO IT so get over it. we got two players on our team who travel an hr and a half just to a home game cuz they live in clare n they dont complain bout it.. there has bin alot of shit said bout gawler, vale, para hills and campbelltown but at the end of the day all these teams have rightfully earned their spot in the premier league just like the rest of you have!!!! i think the problem is that these bottom placed teams just arent established enough wen they come up to prems. i mean look wen gawler n vale(n im sure para n campbelltown) played state league they went through the season almost undefeated then as soon as they went to prems their losing every week practically, y is that if they have same players and coaching staff ect??? there is a huge gap in the skill level between the top half of the prems table and the bottom half and i think that is something dat needs to be looked at... on a lighter note congrats to fulham for winning da league yet again n good luck in ur cup final...

um 4 ur info krazy gawler forfiet 2 games dis season... our reserves did it against u guys n last week against cumberland which most of our players didnt know about til da friday... an in regards to the vale, they aint had much of a choice but to forfiet majority of games. regarding ur comment bout fulham played a hard match fri nite against metro, well they wouldnt have bin in that situation if metro hadnt postponed the match in the first place. and quite a few teams have prem players playin two games each week so does that make them out of their minds!!!! not in my books, that makes them dedicated...

FOR YOUR INFORMATION dusty..

Thats 2 more games u have 4fited than everyone else!!

for ur information ALSO .. the only reason our game had been POSTPONED was because BOTH METRO and FULHAM had state reps away .. which is kind of important ...

argue all u want .. i honestly dont care i just like getting u all fired up

haha fulham 4fited ...just like use have done this season ..point being they complained about not being told BEFORE having to drive to ELIZABETH ... u had been told ..

the dedication speech is gettin no where with me i travel a 2 hour round trip to get to training 7 days a week ..

if you actually read what i had said about people being out of their minds.. I CLEARLY STATED -- ...They would be out of their minds to FORCE their prems into playing 3 games in 3 days the week before CUP FINAL ..what u said wasnt a vaild argument..because week in week out ..is a different circumstance to A CUP FINAL

Krazy we all have to play to the program set out by sawsa whether it agrees with the club or not (it was set out at the begining of the season), otherwise we might as well do as we please. If a team hasnt got the depth or numbers then the coach should plan ahead if they are any good.

sawsa rules state that if a club has 4 or more players missing from a team due to state team committments then they are within their own right to request the change of date for the game. sawsa approved the change of game.

agree with krazy. fulham played friday night, some also played last wed night with sasi. they then had to front up on sunday and play gawler who can be quite physical at times. the reserves couldn't finish any higher than 6th so why risk some of the best players in the state to play when they have bigger and better games ahead of them

meh whatever. forfeit is done and dusted

My main issue and the reason i brought it up was that ppl from fulham complained about teams forfeiting and then did it the nxt week. I dont know what the rest of my team think but im sure they would agree that we could have played with 7 as well to make it fair just so everyone got there last game of the season. And also when ur saying we dont have to travel far we actually do. every game except for the vale is at least an hr away and para hills is about 45 mins. Everyone has to travel its just the way its gonna be in this league.

shorty u shud get used to travelling it doesnt mata how many kms to get to the game bcoz thats ur responsibilty if u wanna play (no offence im jst saying)

n besides this topic is stupid.. it seems like ppl r jst waiting for something like this to happen to blame fulham on something.. if it was the last game n nuthing wud change i think its alrite not to have to play..

the thing i wanna ask tho is did the players actually turn up to the field n realise fulham wudnt come? or was this pre arranged n every1 knew wot was going on?

players from fulham prems commented, not players from the ressies. diff teams and diff levels of committment so plz dont compare the two

Taylor #5 you have just been told!! at the end of the day you really have no leg to stand on i would quit before this gets any worse for you. You didnt get a last game of the season ..but u took away games from other players by 4fiting during the season also.. just remember that!

oOoItsMe - pretty sure we are all usta travelling.. BUT travelling to a game ..when the team 4fits on the day ..that is over an hour away ..u have the right to complain..

The reserves Fulham 4fit was PRE-ARRANGED

same argument going around in circles.

obviously when a team forfeits it is disappointing, but move on and look forward to the next match, or next season in this case.
